Some places just invite you to breathe a little easier as soon as you walk in. This two bedroom apartment at The Address Jumeirah Resort and Spa really feels like that. It sits right along Jumeirah Beach Residence, so before you even open the front door you can already hear the sea in the background. I remember walking in for the first time and honestly had to take a minute to look out those big floor to ceiling windows. The light is something you notice right away and the way the Gulf stretches out in front of you just makes you pause. Sun changes the whole mood in here through the day, with cloud shadows drifting by if you are lucky enough to catch one of those rare Dubai cloudy afternoons. Even when you are just settling on the sofa, you catch the waves moving and sometimes you end up just sitting by the glass for a while, letting the world slow down.
This is officially a two bedroom apartment with about fourteen seventy five square feet but once the light bounces around and you step inside, it feels even bigger than you might expect from the numbers. That is probably down to all the natural light and the open layout in the main living and dining area. Whether you are having coffee in the morning or watching the city wind down at night, you do not lose sight of that view for a second. Photos help but honestly the real thing is in another league. That stretch of balcony is somewhere you will drift out to in the mornings, maybe with bare feet just to feel the sun start climbing, or later on to watch the city lights as evening sets in. Sometimes you even catch the last surfers down on the beach below or the odd fishing boat heading out.
You will see this place comes unfurnished and to be honest that is not a downside at all. It means you get to bring your own style and make it yours, from your favorite chair by the window to your own art on the walls. The kitchen actually makes you want to cook a proper meal, which is something I do not always say about new builds. The counters are wide, there is space to move and you do not end up bumping elbows if two people are making dinner together. It is all modern and smart but it does not feel like you have to tiptoe around. Maybe you bake bread on a weekend just because or do takeaway after a swim, it all fits the pace here.
The bedrooms both face the sea with those same huge windows so mornings feel slow and gentle. You could easily imagine sipping tea in bed while the city wakes up outside. Both rooms are big enough for more than just a bed and a suitcase and en suite bathrooms make the routines feel a bit more private and relaxed. The storage is decent, closets are generous enough for your clothes plus the winter jackets you will probably never use but keep anyway. Showers are the type that actually make you want to linger after a long day or maybe beach sand between your toes.
Living at The Address Jumeirah Resort and Spa in JBR is as relaxed as you would hope. The swimming pool gets sunlight all day long so even if you miss the morning, there is always a good spot any time you want to dip in. The gym has everything you need if you are a regular or just want to stretch after a run down the promenade. Kids have a play area so if you are expecting visitors or family, they will not get bored. You are never far from coffee, since JBR Walk is just a stroll away. I have been there for an early morning croissant or an evening walk plenty of times. The neighborhood always has something going on, from markets to street music and you can easily grab groceries without needing the car.
