Some homes just have a way of making you slow down for a minute as soon as you walk in. That is exactly what happened to me with this two bedroom apartment at Marina Gate in Dubai Marina. You come out of the lift and the air really does feel different up here, a bit quieter and you get that sense of being in a place people actually want to live. Right away, you notice there are windows everywhere, from floor right up to the ceiling, and the sun fills the living area in a way that actually makes you want to sit on the sofa just to soak it in for a bit. I found myself standing there just watching the boats move along the marina and honestly, it is peaceful in a way you do not expect from the middle of Dubai.
The kitchen is not just tucked away or for show. It sits open to the living and dining space so you could easily chat with friends while cooking. Everything is fitted already and it has this crisp, modern look, but does not feel overly cold or hard. There is enough space that you could host a dinner or just have a lazy breakfast while glancing out to the balcony. The balcony itself is bigger than you would think. If it were me, I would probably bring out a chair or two and just spend the cooler evenings there with coffee. Or tea. Sometimes you watch the city light up right as the sun goes down and it just never really gets old.
Both bedrooms are tucked away down a long hallway that gives the home a sense of calm away from the living zone. Again, the light is a big thing here. You will wake up to natural sunshine and you can hear a quiet hum of the marina below but it never gets loud up here. The bedrooms have their own built in wardrobes and attached bathrooms, so everyone has their own private space. Even the bathrooms feel new and clean, not just in photos but when you're actually in them, which I know matters. There is a powder room for guests as well, so you do not have to worry when people come by.
I think what stands out most about this apartment at Marina Gate is not just the pretty views but how comfortable the whole place feels. There is a bit more space in the layout than you get in a lot of two bedroom apartments in Dubai Marina. It is the corner unit style, so everything opens out and you just get a bit more breathing room. The way they have done the hallway actually makes it feel private when you head to bed, not like some of the other places I have seen where the bedroom sits right off the lounge.
Downstairs, you are in a brand new development which means the amenities are all top notch. The gym is proper and actually open when you want it. There is a big swimming pool, plus a sauna, steam room, and spa. The building has really made it easy by including two parking spaces and you always see the concierge team around. I have found the people here friendly and helpful, so nothing feels too formal but you know you are being looked after.
Dubai Marina itself is a good place if you like being near restaurants and the waterfront. The coffee shop is never far, kids sometimes biking in the evenings, and I know a few neighbors walk down by the yachts at sunset. Getting into the rest of Dubai is easy from here too, so you have got work and weekends covered. Plus, you feel pretty safe 24 hours a day, which is something I always look for.
You can spend ages scrolling photos but honestly, it is the sort of apartment you get a feel for as soon as you are inside. The only way to know if it fits your life is to come see for yourself.
