Some places make you slow down and notice things you usually miss. That happened to me in this one bedroom duplex apartment at The Lofts in Downtown Dubai. You walk in and the first thing you feel is all the space. Honestly it is just so open and bright. I found myself wandering around for a bit just to take it in. Sunlight spills onto these pale wooden floors and you get that modern European kind of feeling not in a cold way but in a very calm way. It feels like home the minute you kick off your shoes.

You will see what I mean about the space right away. This is not your usual apartment with one narrow living room. Weekend plans do not take much effort because honestly the best Dubai restaurants and shops are a stroll away. The Dubai Mall is so close you will probably end up walking there more than you think. Sometimes you see families taking walks or just heading out for ice cream after dinner. You do not need to drive most days.

I think that is what makes this place so good. You have all the energy of Downtown Dubai outside but you always have your quiet spot to come back to. You will notice how quick getting in and out is you do not waste time on the lift and it is so close to everything. If you ever feel like visiting Dubai Opera or need to have brunch at somewhere new all you have to do is step outside.
