Honestly you feel a shift the moment you step off the elevator and realise you are right on the edge of Downtown Dubai with all of the best things about city living close but the inside feels surprisingly peaceful. There is something about being up in a high-rise like this that makes the city noise melt away as soon as the doors close behind you.

Right when you get inside the apartment you can tell it's meant for actual living. The open plan kitchen has this easy flow into the lounge and there is plenty of space for everything you need. I stood at the balcony for a minute just watching the lights change out on Sheikh Zayed Road and you really get these sweeping views that remind you you are in Dubai. People always talk about the Address buildings having a certain level of finish and here you really see it. The furniture is not just something they picked for pictures either. It all feels comfortable and it matches the space well. Some places you feel like you should not touch anything but honestly this is somewhere you can actually put your feet up after work.

You will notice a lot of little details that make it feel welcoming. Down in the lobby there were fresh flowers the last couple times I came in and security always greets you with a smile which is a little thing but makes coming home just easier. That dedicated parking spot is close to the lifts so you are never fumbling with bags for long. And the building is directly attached to Dubai Mall so you can be in the shops or the cinema or your favourite coffee shop within minutes. Sometimes in the evenings you see families heading in for dinner together which is kind of nice. The walkways connecting to the mall are cool and covered so even in the summer heat you do not have far to go if you want groceries or just need a break from your day.

The best thing about living here is probably the amenities. You get to use things like the infinity pool which honestly feels like a hotel pool holiday every weekend. There is also a sauna, a jacuzzi, and a gym if you want to keep up with your workouts. There is even room service for owners if the idea of ordering coffee to your front door appeals to you. I hear a lot of people say they almost never need to leave except for work if they live here because everything they need is either in the building or just downstairs in the mall. The Address also gives you access to a private business lounge which is great if you work from home or sometimes want to meet people for coffee outside of your apartment.

Some owners stay a few months a year and then let the apartment out to friends or corporate travellers. The building takes care of the little things like cleaning and laundry if you want. And I should mention being in Downtown Dubai means you can always walk to the Fountains, the Opera, or just see what is happening on BLVD Street. There is always something new happening so you never really run out of options.
