Some homes just have a certain feel as soon as you step inside. This three bedroom apartment at Imperial Avenue in Downtown Dubai is honestly one of them. The light in here is soft right from the entrance and it just gives you that slow down feeling which is a bit rare in the city. I sat in the living area for a while and it actually felt like somewhere I'd want to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon with coffee and a good book or maybe just the view. There's that real sense of being in the city but not needing to rush.

The rest of the building is full of little extras that make a difference. There's a rooftop infinity pool where you can swim almost eye level with the skyline and another family pool with a bit of a more laid back vibe. Some mornings you will see people out walking through the landscaped gardens and there's a park close by which is rare for central Dubai. For movie nights there's even an AV room that is perfect for quiet get togethers. If you are feeling active there are squash courts and a full gym and there's plenty of space for kids to play indoors without worrying about the heat. Downstairs you are a short walk from all kinds of restaurants and some very good coffee shops. Dubai Mall is only a couple of streets away so everything from quick groceries to shopping days out is close.

Living here gives you the best of Downtown without feeling boxed in or overwhelmed. Sometimes people worry about parking or too much hustle and culture but here it just feels easy. You can head down to the Water Canal in about five minutes or just wander around the neighbourhood in the evenings. Honestly it is the kind of place that works as a main home or a second spot for city trips. If you have family to visit there is enough space that no one feels cramped and if it is just you it does not ever feel too much.
