Spectacular 1 Bedroom Apartment at The Pad, Business Bay

Some homes just have a little something that you feel right away. That happened for me when I walked into this one bedroom apartment at The Pad in Business Bay. There is this sense right from the lobby that you are somewhere bold and a bit out of the ordinary. Honestly I just found myself wanting to look around for a few minutes before I even thought about anything else.

Standing outside The Pad you see the whole building tips a little off straight up into the sky which is a bit playful and makes you smile before you step in. At night it glows with all those LED lights wrapped around the outside so you cannot really miss it if you are driving by. Even when you are coming home late it feels kind of exciting every time. Honestly those little things add up to a place that just feels interesting and alive.

Inside the apartment you straight away get that bright and open feeling. The whole living space is open plan so you kind of drift between the kitchen the dining space and the sitting area without even thinking about it. And then those floor to ceiling windows just pull your eyes out towards Downtown Dubai. You get some pretty amazing views of the Burj Khalifa right from your own sofa. Some evenings the sky takes on these crazy colours and it gets quiet for a moment and you just watch the city. It feels big but somehow private at the same time because you are up high and everything slows down.

The kitchen is not just for show either. Appliances are fitted in so it feels tidy but honestly you can tell it is made for some proper cooking. There's enough space for whatever you want to try. You could easily see yourself making coffee in the morning while the city wakes up around you. The seating area flows well into the dining spot so if you have friends over it just works you know. It is not cramped at all which impressed me considering it is a one bed apartment.

The bedroom feels like a little retreat after a long day. It is really well sized so you are not squeezing around your bed to open cupboards or something. Plus you have your own en suite which makes everything feel easier. It is one of those rooms you want to throw open the curtains in the morning and just let the light in for a while. Sometimes you even catch those Downtown lights from the corner of your eye at night if you leave the curtains open.

The Pad's location in Business Bay is actually great for getting out and about too. You can walk down by the canal in the evenings if you want a bit of fresh air or stop by one of the little coffee shops that line the streets here. Taxis are always close so you are never stranded after dinner downtown or if you decide last minute to pop over to Dubai Mall. The neighbourhood really has its own beat and you start to feel like a local pretty quickly.

You will also notice the building itself has a nice energy about it. The lobby is stylish without being cold and the people who live here have a mix of backgrounds so you get friendly smiles but also enough privacy. There is on site gym and pool if you want a bit more activity without having to go far. Even from the pool deck sometimes you catch the skyline reflecting in the water when the sun starts to set. It just feels easy most of the time.

At just under one thousand square feet this apartment actually feels bigger than the numbers. The clever design means you do not waste space anywhere. You get all that light and openness plus a view you will come to really love. Sometimes you almost forget about your phone and just watch the city outside for a while.
