Actually, I stood by the living room windows for a few minutes on my very first visit and the views of the skyline just never get old. You sort of catch yourself just staring out. So SLS Dubai Residences is known for its architecture but what I like about this duplex is how it just feels easy to live in. The lower floor has a real sense of space. The living room opens into the dining area and the kitchen is right there, which makes it feel comfortable no matter if you're just having coffee alone or a few friends are over. I have seen so many open kitchens in Dubai that look like they are made only for show, but here you can actually imagine yourself cooking breakfast, or maybe some late night snacks. Out from the living area there is a terrace, not too big and not too small, where you can step out in the morning or maybe wind down in the evening and maybe just watch the sky change colors.

If you keep walking you will notice a powder room for guests and a utility area, which is honestly one of those practical things that makes daily life easier. You'll see brands like Schuco and Franke and everything just feels solid and upscale, but still not over the top. The temperature and lighting are all controlled by Lutron so things just work and you can set it all from your phone or a touchpad, which is nice when you come home in the evenings.

The amenities at SLS Dubai are some of the best you will come across in Business Bay. There are three pools, including an infinity pool on the roof that gives you those social media worthy views, a gym that has all the equipment anyone would need, and even a state of the art spa. You will find two restaurants on the top floors, a sky lounge, and sometimes live music in the evenings which gives the place a real community feel. I even noticed a lot of people make friends here just relaxing by the pool or using the shared spaces. Plus, housekeeping and valet services mean you spend less time worrying and more time just living.

With Downtown Dubai, DIFC, and City Walk all just around the corner, you never feel far from anything. The coffee shop is just an elevator ride away. The canal is right down the street and on most evenings you see people out for walks or cycling.
