Sometimes a home just gives you that feeling right when you walk in like it is the sort of place you could end up choosing without even realising. That is what happened when I stepped into this one bedroom apartment at Bluewaters Residences in Building 9. There is something about the open layout and the light pouring in through the glass that makes you pause a little and just look outside for a while. The Arabian Gulf is right there and honestly it is kind of amazing to see the Dubai Marina skyline catching the afternoon sun. This does not feel like a postcard view you forget about it is something you actually see every day.
The living area is spacious without being fussy and it opens up toward that full length window. You can stand there in the morning and see some people already out for a run along the paths or the construction folks moving about on the water. The kitchen is not just for show either plenty of room for someone who likes to really cook with friends over or maybe just likes the idea of baking something in the evening. The finishes are clean and modern nothing old fashioned plenty of storage and nice touches like soft close drawers you might not even notice at first.
What is easy to enjoy about Bluewaters is how it feels both peaceful and vibrant depending on your mood. Weekends tend to have a bit more of a buzz with families heading out to the little coffee places or browsing the shops. The morning is usually much quieter. You can take a short walk over to The Beach at Jumeirah Beach Residence which is honestly one of my favorite spots to unwind after work. In the evenings sometimes you will see kids on bikes or folks just sitting along the docks watching the city lights start to come on. It has this community vibe that you do not always get in Dubai.
You will also notice the facilities are well looked after not just on paper but in real life. The swimming pools are big enough that you will actually want to use them and there is a fully equipped gym with everything you need not just a treadmill or two. Anyone who likes to stay active or even just start a new routine will feel comfortable here. There are plenty of spots to sit or read outside if you just want to enjoy the breeze off the sea.
Being in Building 9 makes things simple too. The access is straightforward you have the built bridge to Sheikh Zayed Road right there so when you need to get around you can just hop in a car or use the multi way transport system which is actually easy to use you just get the hang of it after a couple days. For anyone who likes taking the Metro now and then those automated vehicles take you the last stretch between Bluewaters and the Nakheel Harbour and Towers Metro. I tried it myself and it honestly just feels easy.
Your surroundings feel pretty special with Ain Dubai almost right outside. Some mornings if it is quiet you can hear the seagulls and in the evenings the lights on the observation wheel start coming on. If you are looking for a place to entertain or just relax on your own this apartment makes both possible without ever feeling too much.
The neighborhood is great for people who like city living but want some peace at the same time. If you are into shopping and dining you pretty much have everything within walking distance. A few nights ago I stopped at one of the restaurants after a showing and it just felt relaxed nothing too fancy just comfortable and real.
This one bedroom apartment would suit someone looking for a modern home in Dubai close to everything but still private. It works well as a main base or even a second getaway place. The only way to know if it is right though is to come see it. Take a walk through maybe sit by the window for a bit.
