Some places simply catch you the second you walk in. This one bedroom apartment at The Neighbourhood in Al Barari absolutely does that. The first thing you notice is how green everything is here. Honestly, it almost feels like you are in another part of the world. I took a walk around before heading up and the air actually seems a little fresher here. Sounds odd but you might even spot butterflies along the path sometimes. There is this huge outdoor play area for kids right near the entrance so you always see families outside and the kids just run around until it gets dark.

Once you step into the apartment, it feels just so calm. The light comes in through big windows and you get a real sense of space, even though it is a one bedroom. Some apartments just feel squeezed but not this one. The layout is clever so you can fit a life here, not just stay for a short time. If you like to cook you will probably like the kitchen here. It is built for real use with enough counter space to actually spread out, plus you do not feel closed in. Someone had a good idea when they put in plenty of storage too.

The finishing is better than what you usually see. It has a soft feel. Not overdone. The floors have this neutral tone that works with pretty much anything and when you open the cupboards you feel how solid everything is. You have a dedicated area for laundry so you do not have to squeeze it into a bathroom like in some other places in Dubai. The bathroom is bright and not as small as you might imagine for a one bed. Even just standing on the balcony, you get a moment of peace. There is so much green all around it sometimes feels like you are not really in the city. Not a lot of traffic noises either. Just birds and water if you listen.

There is basement parking so you do not have to worry about finding a spot or your car getting hot. The building itself is low and you are never dealing with crowded lifts. Security watches over who comes and goes but it does not feel strict. More friendly. And for those days when you feel like burning off a little energy or just resetting after work, residents can get special membership to the Body Language Fitness Club. Honestly, it is one of my favorite spots in Al Barari. The gym is proper and there is a pool that is not just for looking at.

For families, that huge play area really is as good as it sounds. Kids from the buildings gather in the evenings and you see friendships start just over a football or a bike. The whole community is pretty active. You will spot people walking or jogging in the gardens and the themed parks. If you like your coffee, there is a café down the path. Sometimes people just sit outside working on their laptops or reading something with birds drifting around. Shops and groceries are close enough but not so close that it gets too busy around your building.

Al Barari is a bit special compared to other places. Nearly two thirds of the whole area is just green. There are lakes here where you sometimes find people catching up or feeding ducks. The whole idea is to live in a community that actually feels healthy. You kind of forget how close you are to the city center. When you want to head out, main roads are not far so you can get to Downtown or Marina in about twenty minutes or so.

The payment plan is simple which makes things easier. Some owners like that. You put down a part on booking and the rest when it is ready. The apartment is set to be finished in May so you are not waiting forever.
