Some homes really just slow you down a little when you walk in and this two bedroom apartment at Soho Palm Jumeirah did that for me. Maybe it is the way the light moves across the living area or how you see the curve of the palm trees through the glass as soon as you look outside. It feels calm here and even with everything going on nearby you notice a certain peace.
You are right on the trunk of Palm Jumeirah which is already its own little world. I took a slow walk from the building to Nakheel Mall and it was one of those mornings where you spot people with beach towels and folks sitting outside with coffee. You have all of that on your doorstep but there is still a kind of tucked away feeling as soon as you come up to the apartment. Soho Palm is not one of those packed busy towers. There are only so many apartments and it does feel more private when you are up here.
So about the apartment itself. Two bedrooms is sometimes just enough and this layout really makes sense. The main living space is open which is nice because it just never feels boxed in. I spent a while leaning against the breakfast bar in the half open kitchen and you actually see how you could cook for real here not just order something in and hope the oven works. The finishes are spot on. There is nothing loud or flashy just clean lines and good choices. Both bedrooms come with their own bathrooms and if you are the type who has way too many clothes you will appreciate the built in storage.
One thing I like is the extra room. Officially it is for a maid but honestly it could be anything. Maybe a playroom or an office or just that random space for all the stuff families collect. The real surprise is the balcony though. It just wraps right around the bedrooms and it almost begs you to have coffee out there or wind down after work while you watch boats in the distance or sometimes you just end up sitting and scrolling but with better views than you get anywhere else.
Looking outside you get a pretty special vista. You can see right out over the Golden Mile and some days you spot the Burj Khalifa from here. When the sun goes down it is even better. I watched the colors change over the water and it is the kind of view you do not need to dress up or filter for friends. It is just good as it is.
The rest of Soho Palm helps keep everything easy. There is a gym that makes you look forward to actually working out. They have a steam room and sauna as part of the spa so you can unwind without even leaving the building. I liked the rooftop too. The infinity pool catches a lot of sun and the play area is where you occasionally see kids running around while parents grab a bit of quiet. Downstairs there are some shops and dining options so you do not really need to get in the car for the basics. Even if you do want more you are so close to everything on the trunk and frankly it is just fun to take an evening walk. Sometimes you see families on bikes or couples heading out for dinner by the water and you just feel part of the place.
Unfurnished means you can make it fit your life from the start. The built up area is about 1616 square feet so you are not squeezed for space. It is honestly a solid option for a young family who wants that Palm Jumeirah lifestyle but without all the fuss.
