Some homes just have an easy feel to them as soon as you step inside. This one bedroom apartment in La Riviera Apartments over on the main boulevard at Jumeirah Village Circle is like that for me. I walked in and for a second just let the natural sunlight wash over me from all those big windows. Sometimes the simple layout just feels right and actually makes you want to just stay home with a coffee.
You find the powder room right by the door so guests do not need to go wandering around the place. On your left there is a real laundry room, not just a closet with a washer jammed in. Laundry day is a breeze here since you can just close the door and forget about it for a while. The kitchen works well for cooking most things you would want to try, nothing cramped or overly fancy, just good countertop space and loads of cabinets for your morning cereal and the toaster and then some. If you like to cook, you will probably find yourself looking for excuses to try new recipes just because the kitchen is that comfortable.
Honestly the living and dining area is what surprised me most during my first walkthrough. It just feels big for a one bedroom apartment and the way the light sweeps in all through the afternoon gives it this calm open vibe. You could easily imagine a big comfy couch here, maybe even a home office spot in the corner if you like working by the window. Sometimes in the late afternoons when the neighbourhood gets peaceful there is this soft glow in here that makes you just want to read or nap for a while. There is a private balcony too, plenty of space to sit in the evening with a cup of tea and watch the world outside. I saw a few kids walking their bikes after school when I stopped by last time which sort of makes the neighbourhood feel friendly.
Once you head through to the bedroom it is clear that everything here is made for comfort and easy living. Built in closets mean there is space for all your favourites without any mess and the bathroom actually feels like a spot you will want to linger in after a long day. The finishings are nice without being over the top. Stepping in there you sort of get that feeling where you are picturing yourself winding down with a hot shower and not rushing off anywhere.
Life in La Riviera Apartments comes with a few simple perks that make you wonder why you would live anywhere else in Jumeirah Village Circle if you have the choice. The Retreat is for residents only and honestly it feels like a little private club. There is a gym that gets actual sunlight which somehow makes workouts less of a drag plus a steam room if you want to unwind. The outdoor pool has a Jacuzzi and I have seen a few people hanging out there with friends like they have known each other for ages. There is also a safe aquatic play area for children so if you have little ones or friends with kids you do not have to worry. The barbecue area is popular on weekends from what I have heard and the lounge is a good spot for quieter evenings.
Jumeirah Village Circle is handy for just about everything you need day to day. Supermarkets are not far so picking up groceries is easy. There is even a clinic nearby which is a relief if you ever need it. Everything just runs smooth here and the main boulevard location means you are right where all the action is but your spot is still peaceful.
