There is something about certain homes where you just walk in and let out a breath you did not even know you were holding. That is what happened when I stepped into this two bedroom apartment in Olympic Tower 2 right in the heart of Dubai Sports City. It is honestly one of the biggest places I have seen in this neighbourhood and you really feel that when you move from room to room. In the living room I stood by the window for a bit just watching the golf course at Victory Heights. The view through the glass is always changing and sometimes you catch the light shifting on the greens in the late afternoon. You barely hear the city from up here. Whenever I visit I catch myself losing track of time a little.
Right away you can picture everyday life here. The kitchen is not just for show. It feels like a spot where you would actually cook some full meals, with enough space for someone to sit and chat or help out. There is a balcony there too, which is probably the easiest place for a quick coffee in the morning or maybe just catching your breath after a long day. You get a proper closed kitchen, so if you want to keep the smells in while you are cooking it just works and it does not break up the open layout of the rest of the apartment.
Both bedrooms are real master suites with plenty of wardrobe space. Each one has its own bathroom, so privacy is not an issue even if you have guests. There is an extra guest bathroom off the living area too. What surprised me pleasantly was just how much storage there is all around you. Plus there is a big laundry room, so the usual stuff does not clutter your personal space. Everything just feels thought through here.
The apartment itself measures over fifteen hundred square feet. That is bigger than most two bedroom homes you will find in Dubai Sports City. If you have got a lot of stuff or need to spread out a bit, you will not feel cramped. The natural light is great as well I noticed that the corners of the rooms do not get gloomy even on the odd rainy day.
Downstairs you get all the facilities you would really use – a gym that is actually stocked with good equipment for once and a swimming pool that is just right for cooling off in the Dubai heat. Sometimes you see folks just sitting by the landscaped gardens on a weekend reading or kids playing in the dedicated areas nearby. There is always a little movement but it never feels noisy or crowded. Parking is in the basement so even in summer you are not dealing with a blazing hot car. There is enough room for more than one car if you need it which is a small detail that matters for families or anyone with more than one vehicle.
With the location you are honestly set for getting almost anywhere. Al Khail Road is close by. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road and Hessa Street are minutes away. Whether you work in Downtown Dubai or need to get to the Airport or even the Expo site you are not looking at long drives. Jumeirah Beach is within reach if you want a quick getaway to the sea. City Centre Meaisem and Motor City are both five minutes away, so picking up groceries or heading for dinner is never a hassle. The whole Dubai Sports City area has its own rhythm. It is peaceful but never boring and you see plenty of people out in the evenings jogging or walking their dogs when the sun goes down. You feel part of a growing community. You might even forget your phone sometimes.
It is not always easy to tell from photos or descriptions if a place feels right for you. The best way to know is to come by and take it in for yourself.
