Sometimes you step into a space and it almost catches you off guard in a good way. That was my feeling with this two bedroom apartment in Emaar 6 Towers in Dubai Marina. Maybe it was the calm inside compared to all the liveliness you hear from below because Dubai Marina always feels alive you know with the sound of boats going by and people heading out to the restaurants along the water. Right away when you open the door you notice the light. It is almost surprising how much comes in because the windows are huge and go all the way from the floor up almost to the ceiling. It actually makes you want to stand by the glass for a while and just watch everything move outside. You see the water change color as the day goes on or the lights come on in the towers around sunset and if you are anything like me you might just stay there a few extra minutes before thinking about furniture.
Honestly the layout itself actually works in real life which is not always the case in every building here. The living and dining area is one big open space but it does not feel cold or echoey. People actually like spending time here. I imagine meals running long or kids curled up reading on one side while the rest of the family snacks by the big windows. If you cook for real you will probably like the kitchen. It is not just fitted out for show. There is more than enough granite counter space and the wood cabinets actually have room for all your pots and ingredients plus it is close by so you never feel shut away if you are hosting or watching TV in the living room. I can picture early mornings here with coffee brewing and the soft sunlight coming through before the city gets busy.
The bedrooms both have these big windows too which is nice when you wake up and the light kind of spills in and softens the start of your day. I tried out the closets and they are proper wardrobes which you will probably appreciate if you have ever tried to fit your stuff into those tiny ones you see in some apartments. The master bedroom comes with its own ensuite bathroom which honestly just makes mornings a little less hectic. The second bedroom is a good size as well and you never feel boxed in. Everything feels easy. The flooring and walls are a warm tone and nothing feels cold or sterile which happens too often in some new builds.
And if you know Dubai Marina you know you are never far from something to do. The coffee shop scene here is great. There is a grocery right downstairs in the community or a walk along the pier if you want a break from work. Kids still bike in the evenings and you see families walking their dogs. Emaar 6 Towers has its own pool and gym as well which makes it even easier if you do not feel like heading outside for a run. There is secure parking and you can get a taxi pretty much any time even in the early morning. Beach and Mall of the Emirates are a quick drive or you just hop on the Metro close by and reach everywhere.
Even though it is a lively area when you come up to this apartment it just feels calm which is the best part about living in a tall building here. Sometimes you almost forget your phone because you want to just sit and look out over the water for a while. It is a really good size at 1695 square feet and honestly it does not feel squeezed at all. Everything is ready for someone to move in and make it home which is sometimes rare with rentals.
