Some homes do not impress you right away with big gestures. Instead, they just quietly pull you in. That is exactly how this one bedroom furnished apartment in DAMAC Heights really feels. I actually looked out over the balcony and found myself standing there for a while just taking in the mix of city and water. You only get a partial view of Dubai Marina and the sea but honestly it is enough to remind you where you are. In person, the atmosphere is calm. There are no huge crowds around here this high up and up here you notice more sky than traffic.
Inside is furnished in a way that feels thought out for living not just for show. The tiled floors look glossy and solid but are not cold underfoot. The bedroom is carpeted so when you kick off your shoes it is soft on your feet. Open the built in cupboards and you actually have the kind of storage most people want not the pretty but tiny kind. Two bathrooms might seem like a lot for a one bedroom but it comes in handy. You are not elbowing your partner to hurry up. People sometimes think Dubai apartments can feel the same but this one with its custom black curtains and big smart TV in the lounge actually gives a bit of style that feels simple but clear. Even the loungers on the balcony are comfortable. I actually sat down to see. You could really sip coffee out here in the morning or take your laptop for an hour.
The kitchen does not feel intimidating. It is somewhere you can cook when you actually want a real meal not just heat up food. If you like to have friends over there is space for it to just happen naturally. The air feels open not cramped. Sometimes you can hear a faint laugh or two from someone grilling at the barbecue area downstairs but it is never too loud. Being in DAMAC Residenze you get all the lifestyle perks that make Dubai Marina feel like a little city of its own. There is a pool that always looks inviting and a lifeguard always there which makes a difference if you actually swim. The gym has all the main machines not the old ones you sometimes see in older towers and the steam and sauna rooms are taken care of from what I saw. I peeked into the games area too. The pool table and table tennis get some actual use but never seem crowded. Little things like that can matter if you actually live somewhere not just visit.
Life outside is just as easy. When you step out the main doors Marina Walk is right there. You can wander to places like P.F. Chang's if you want a good dinner or Tony Roma's for ribs or just wander down for a coffee at The Hangout Lounge. Every now and then you see people rollerblading or sometimes families with little kids biking slowly past. Everything feels fairly peaceful even though you are in one of Dubai's busiest spots. Dubai Marina Mall is just around the corner with the big Reel Cinema if you ever want to catch a movie or there is the Bounce Trampoline Park for something completely different. Getting around is not a hassle at all. There is the Metro and the Tram close enough so taxis are almost not needed. Sheikh Zayed Road opens up the rest of the city or you can take a walk down to the public beach at JBR. That stretch of sand is always there when you need a break. You just walk across and it is done.
And the funny thing is up here in DAMAC Heights which sits in the sky at eighty five storeys you almost do not notice you are in a skyscraper after a while. You just feel at home. It is a side of Dubai Marina that feels as much about comfort as it does about style.
If you want to really get what it is like to live here you kind of have to walk through it yourself. If anything at all about the place is calling you just reach out. Someone from LuxuryProperty.com will always be happy to show you around. There is no need to rush or decide right then. The only real test is how you feel when you see it in person.
