Some places just feel like they invite you to pause for a second. That is what happened when I walked into this one bedroom apartment in Al Sahab, right in Dubai Marina. There is just something soothing about the space. You are in the heart of the city's most interesting neighbourhood yet when you step through the front door it all settles down. Maybe it is the morning light coming in through those full sized windows or it is just the way everything feels open and not cramped. Honestly it is the sort of spot where you find yourself leaning on the windowsill and watching the boats drift along the marina below. Sometimes you even catch the city skyline catching the early sun and it almost feels a little too beautiful for just another Tuesday.
This is a semi furnished apartment so you get all the essentials but you still have plenty of room to bring your own style in without feeling boxed in by someone else's choices. The bedroom is comfortable and straightforward. There is a bed frame so you just need to bring your own mattress and bedding. I actually liked the wardrobe more than I expected because the hanging spaces are tall enough for longer dresses or suits and you do not have to cram everything in either. And the bathroom is right outside the bedroom which somehow makes mornings smoother. There is both a bathtub and a shower I always appreciate having the choice after a long day.
One thing I should mention just so you are not surprised later the apartment does not have a balcony. But with those big windows you honestly do not miss it that much the view takes care of that feeling of openness you get used to. And you are on a mid level floor so you are above the buzz of the promenade but not so high up you lose that connection to what is happening below. There is something a bit special about being able to look down at the marina from just the right height.
The kitchen actually feels like a real kitchen not just a corner with a microwave. You get a double sink which is one of those little things that just makes life easier and the stovetop is electric with a good amount of counter space for chopping or just laying out takeout some evenings. I could see myself cooking something simple here, maybe even inviting a friend for breakfast on a slow weekend morning. There is a dishwasher too which is honestly a relief if you do not like doing the dishes every time. And the fridge has plenty of space for late night snacks or fresh groceries from the little shops just around the corner. I love that the wood finishes give the whole kitchen a bit of warmth.
When you step out of the apartment the building itself takes care of the rest of your day to day needs. There is a gym and a swimming pool if you feel like a quick workout or swim before work. Sometimes you hear the sound of splashing and laughter floating up in the afternoon. There is even a mini theatre and some rooms you can book for gatherings or work which is great if you get visitors or just need a change of scenery while working from home. The sheltered parking is also a big thing for me because it just makes daily life in Dubai that much easier.
Living in Al Sahab puts you right along the lively Marina Promenade so you are never far from coffee shops or that quick bite after sunset. I see people walking their dogs in the evenings or stopping for gelato. It is a surprisingly friendly environment for such a city location. Shopping and entertainment are easy to reach either with a short walk or even hopping on a scooter. You are close to everything but your apartment still feels like your own retreat after a busy day.
The only way to know if this place fits is to see it for yourself. If you have questions or just want to walk through the apartment and take it all in at your own pace let me know. At LuxuryProperty.com we believe moving should feel comfortable right from the start. Let us know when you are ready and we will make it as relaxed as a stroll down the Marina.
