Some places just have a way of pulling you in and making you want to sit down and stay a bit longer. I felt that as soon as I opened the door of this Burj Vista apartment in Downtown Dubai. It is a two bedroom spot but honestly it feels even bigger when you first step inside especially because it is on a high floor so there is this feeling of space that is hard to describe until you are actually up here. You hear the city a little but everything feels quieter even though you are right in the middle of it all. You can just look out across Downtown and sometimes the sunsets honestly make you forget your phone completely.
The living area is huge and it is open plan so wherever you sit you get these sweeping views and a big dose of natural light. You might notice the balcony runs quite long and it becomes this extra space where you might have coffee in the morning or just enjoy the breeze in the evening. The dining space is tucked neatly near the semi closed kitchen. I have seen some kitchens that look a bit too fancy to ever actually use but this one feels just right. There is a real oven and a good fridge plus a dishwasher that is already fitted so it does not feel staged at all. It just feels ready for someone who actually wants to cook or just enjoy midnight snacks.
Both bedrooms are proper rooms not those little spaces where you wonder where the wardrobe is supposed to go. Here you get a real walk in closet in each bedroom and the bathrooms are en suite so no one has to dash down the hallway in the middle of the night. The rooms have space for an extra table which could be great if you like working from home or just want a spot to read or set up a little hobby area. There is also a laundry room and a guest toilet off to the side which is nice because it means visitors do not have to use your personal space. It just feels easy.
Looking around Burj Vista itself you will probably agree that it is one of the nicest buildings in Downtown Dubai when it comes to facilities. The podium level is honestly a bit of a surprise. There is a main swimming pool where sunlight usually pours in so even if you do not swim much you might end up sitting by the water more than you think. There is a separate pool for kids so if you have little ones with you it is a relief not having to worry about them being in the main pool. The gym is quite a bit bigger than most and there is even a tennis court which you do not see everywhere. Sometimes you catch people playing outside in the evening and there are kids chasing each other across the playgrounds both indoor and out. If you like to eat outside the barbecue area gets used more than you would expect. Residents are genuinely out there in the evenings when the weather is right.
Location wise it could hardly get more downtown than this. You are literally right across from the Burj Khalifa and you can get onto Sheik Zayed Road in just a few minutes. The Dubai Mall is about five minutes on foot and there are two ways to get there the traditional way along Mohamed bin Rashid Boulevard or you can just take the direct indoor link which is really handy during summer. Honestly you will probably notice that the cafes and restaurants nearby pretty much cover whatever you are in the mood for and being able to walk between them just makes life simpler.
This is the kind of place that fits if you want everything on your doorstep but still a feeling of calm when you get home. The only way to know if it fits you is to come and see it in person.
