1 Bedroom Apartment in Burj Khalifa Area, Downtown Dubai

Some homes just seem to slow you down the second you walk in. That is what happened to me with this one bedroom apartment right inside the Burj Khalifa in Downtown Dubai. I caught myself just pausing at the window for a bit because honestly the view is something. You are so high up here it almost feels silent above the buzz of the city and you get these really wide open views over the Dubai Fountain and out towards the lake and Opera. Even if you think you have seen Dubai before this just looks and feels different.

I should say the area is just about 1096 square feet according to the floor plan but walking around it actually feels even bigger. Maybe that is because of all the light coming in through those big windows. In the living room some afternoons you get this soft glow over everything and you almost do not want to turn on any lights at all. There is space for a proper dining table so you can sit down for a meal with a view that just never gets old. The open kitchen is well done too. Real appliances you can actually use if you like cooking. You can picture yourself making breakfast here with the curtains open and the fountains down below.

Now in the bedroom you have your own space to relax. There are wardrobes built in so you do not have to worry about storage. The floors are easy to keep clean and if you are the type who likes a calm bedroom you will like this one. You wake up with a skyline instead of just another wall. Makes the day feel a bit different somehow. The bathroom is tucked close by and just works. Nothing fussy. Just practical with that feeling of a hotel room but it is yours all the time.

Living right in Burj Khalifa comes with its own set of treats. You get a helpful concierge who always seems to know your name. Sometimes I see folks heading up to one of the viewing decks just to show a friend the Dubai skyline at sunset. There is a gym on site that is kept up nicely so you can leave the car parked for a change and just get a workout in before work. Swimming pools are always quiet in the late morning if you like a calm dip. In the evenings you see everyone sort of making their way out for a stroll because Downtown Dubai gets a breeze once the sun gets lower. Sometimes you will see families or people grabbing coffee downstairs before heading out to Dubai Mall or a show at the Opera House. There is no mad rush because everything is just so close. You really do feel at the center of it all.

What I like is that even with all that going on outside your door this apartment manages to feel peaceful. You can just close the door, sit by the window and forget the world for a bit. It is rare to get that in a city apartment, especially one with this location. If you work or travel a lot it could be just as good for short stays or even as a smart lock up if you want a place to just unwind after a week away. The security is really good so you never have to worry when you are gone.

Plus, you get all that Downtown Dubai has to offer. Whether it is picking up groceries at the big supermarket at Dubai Mall, catching a holiday concert, or just stepping out for a quick bite. Friends can visit easily because the car park is right below and there are taxis pulling up all day. Morning coffees are never far from hand. You can even sneak out for a late night walk when the area winds down. That is the thing here, nothing is ever really far.
