Some apartments just settle you the minute you walk in. That is what this two bedroom at 29 Burj Boulevard in Downtown Dubai did to me. Honestly I stood at the window for a bit before I started taking pictures and all I could do was watch the city below and wonder how fun it would be to live right in the heart of it all. There is so much light in here and it is not the harsh kind but this soft glow you get throughout the day from those huge windows. The sun bounces around the living space and you end up feeling calmer than maybe you expected after a day out in Downtown.
You might think an unfurnished apartment would feel empty but here it just feels ready. You start picturing your own couch in the corner or your favorite chair by the window. The kitchen actually made me wish I was cooking something—big countertop, proper storage, and even sliding doors so you are not staring at your dishes when guests drop by. I always check storage in apartments and this one does not disappoint. Built in wardrobes mean you can have your (slightly too big maybe) Dubai wardrobe without having to hide it everywhere else.
Bedrooms are quiet here. There's this little hush to them when the city outside is getting started for the day. It would be pretty easy to wake up slowly, make some coffee, and watch the birds or the early walkers in the street below. Some mornings I bet you will just open the blinds and end up checking the skyline instead of your phone. Plus you are on just the right stretch of Boulevard where you can catch both sunrise and sunset if you are home at the right moments.
What makes 29 Boulevard loved by so many folks is honestly the lifestyle you get just from living here. The swimming pool is as chilled as it looks in the photos and you do see actual residents using it. Sometimes you spot families at the kids pool or someone reading on a lounger and it honestly feels relaxed, not staged at all. The gym is one you would actually use—not just pose in for a day or two. And when you walk out you will notice there are barbecue spots and even a hall locals use for birthday parties or a random get together.
If you have got little ones or just like seeing neighbors, the indoor and outdoor play areas come in handy. There is also this games room—it is funny how people end up making friends over a table tennis match or just hanging out there on a slow evening. The steam rooms feel like a little bonus especially when you want to just unwind after a long day.
One of the things I personally love about this particular spot is how close everything is. You are an easy walk to The Dubai Mall so if you ever need a last minute gift or just want to meet up for coffee you never need to plan too far ahead. Sometimes you hear the Dubai Opera music floating by in the evenings. The best part is the Burj Khalifa is actually walkable and you can decide last minute if you want to watch the fountains or just take a stroll.
You also get basement parking that is actually secure so you are never far from the lift to your door. And if you want to go out and about there are so many taxis and even the Metro isn't much of a walk. You just start to notice that life here gets easier.
Every part of this Downtown Dubai apartment is made for real life. It is spacious but still feels like home. The details like good kitchen storage and sunlight all day aren't things you can fake. And with all the city right outside you are never out of things to do or places to meet friends.
