Some places feel a bit special the second you open the front door. That's honestly what happened when I first wandered into this two bedroom apartment in Building 9 at City Walk. The vibe here is immediately different. I'm not sure if it's just the way the natural light pours in through these huge wall to wall windows or maybe it's the easy flow from room to room. I actually stopped by the window and just watched the city move out there for a few quiet minutes. You get sunlight bouncing around all afternoon. It's one of those places that makes you want to kick off your shoes right by the front door.
City Walk is almost its own little world in Jumeirah. It just kind of tucks you away from the rush. There are green bits you would not expect right in the middle of Dubai. The coffee shop I go to is literally around the corner and you always see people out with their dogs or grabbing a bit to eat. The air feels different here. It is relaxed.
Inside the apartment, you have two full bedrooms that probably feel bigger than you expect. The closets are not just those typical tiny spaces either. There's a genuine walk in closet for when your stuff just seems to multiply overnight. Plus, there's also a separate maid room which I found surprisingly handy if you need it for storage or maybe a hobby space. People always say they never have enough storage. I think whoever designed this place kind of gets that.
If you like cooking or at least trying to cook now and then, the open kitchen might actually inspire you. The counter is wide enough to roll out pizza dough or set up a whole lineup of takeaway when friends pop over. It feels real. The kitchen is open to the living so even if someone's watching a game or sprawled on the sofa you're still in the mix. That's one of the things I actually like most. It just feels easy.
You get a powder room for guests too. Always nice so no one is wandering into your private space. The layout is smart. It's the kind of place you could actually see yourself living in for a few years. It feels modern but not stiff. I noticed as I walked through that the light in the bedrooms changes with the day. Mornings here just seem a little brighter.
And location wise being at City Walk means you can reach downtown Dubai, Jumeirah Beach or Boxpark in no time. I once headed down to the Dubai Mall from here and it honestly felt like a simple extension of the neighborhood. No stressful traffic. City Walk has all the restaurants and shops you could want plus movie nights outdoors sometimes. You might bump into your neighbors at the bakery or on the way to that small bookstore tucked in by the plaza.
Nothing about this apartment is overdone. It is unfurnished so what you bring or pick out is what will make it yours. The space is generous with every inch thought out so you won't be fighting for room with your stuff. The total built up area is right around 1716 square feet so you actually get to stretch out. Sometimes you just need the city outside but some peace when you're home. I get that.
