Some places in Dubai make you slow down for a moment and just look around. That is exactly what happened to me in this one bedroom apartment at Damac Maison Prive in Business Bay. Maybe it was the way the afternoon light came through those big balcony doors or maybe it is just something about Business Bay itself. Either way, it felt calm and just a little bit special.
You step in and right away you notice the space is smartly used. It never feels cramped at all. Honestly, at nearly a thousand square feet, you can spread out here. The apartment is fully furnished and nothing feels over the top. The décor is light and easy so you never feel tired being here. It is more like you naturally want to kick off your shoes and grab a coffee. I ended up sitting at the dining table and watching people walk by on the Dubai Canal. Even from up here you can see cyclists passing and maybe someone jogging in the evenings when the city cools off. There are two balconies and if you are anything like me, you will probably find yourself sneaking out with a book or just letting the breeze in every now and then. The views are open and it has that modern city feeling, but kind of peaceful at the same time.
The kitchen does not just look good in photos. It actually feels like it works for someone who would cook for real. All the appliances are there and they look brand new. I checked the cupboards and there is plenty of storage even if you come with your own set of pots and pans. The built in wardrobes in the bedroom give you enough room to tuck your stuff away. I like that the bedroom still feels bright but private. If you ever have guests or just want to step out, those wide doors to the balcony mean you can slip out and look at the city before bed. Sometimes it is the little things that make an apartment work.
Living in Damac Maison Prive means you are getting more than just an apartment. The amenities are honestly more than you would expect for this area. There is a welcoming lobby every time you come home. You will see the concierge desk is always open and ready to help. There is valet parking so you are never stuck looking for a spot when you get back late. The spa and gym are both just downstairs so on those days you want to move or maybe just tune out for an hour, it is all right here. The pool actually looks out onto the canal and mornings are usually quiet if you want a swim before work. Sometimes you find yourself taking the lift down just to walk along the canal track for fresh air and you end up grabbing a coffee nearby. The area is full of nice places to eat so dinner out does not have to be planned in advance. You are still close to some of Dubai's best local spots. The Dubai Mall is only a short drive away and the Burj Khalifa actually feels like a familiar neighbor the longer you stay here.
Convenience is the thing in Business Bay. Clinics and pharmacies are close so whatever you need is never far. Even getting a taxi or hopping on the metro feels easy from here. The area itself is always buzzing but coming back through the doors at Maison Prive, it honestly feels much quieter and safe. You see neighbors now and then but it never feels overwhelming. Sometimes you hear kids laughing at the pool or you catch someone reading in the lobby. It is little signs that a place is really lived in.
The only way to know if this one bedroom at Damac Maison Prive feels right for you is to come see it for yourself.
