1 Bedroom Apartment in Damac Maison Prive, Business Bay

Some places just have that certain something when you walk in. This one bedroom apartment at Damac Maison Prive in Business Bay is one of those. Even as I first opened the door I noticed how calm it is here compared to the bustle outside. There is this feeling that you could just kick off your shoes and let the city fade away for a bit. Maybe it is the way the canal glimmers down below, or maybe it is how sunlight follows you from the window into pretty much every corner.

You might already know Damac Maison Prive is perched right along the Dubai Water Canal so you are basically right on the waterfront here. Looking out through the floor to ceiling window I actually paused for a while. You get the views you see in those photos but what is even better is the way you pick up the gentle buzz of the water taxis moving past. Sometimes you even spot joggers early in the morning on the waterside. There is this world outside but you sit above it all. If you tilt your head you catch the building's pool below too, usually someone stretched out reading or maybe a few folks just enjoying the sun.

The living room is easy. Spacious without making you feel lost. The furniture feels built for relaxing in and honestly it does not look like something nobody would ever use. You can imagine sitting here in the evening with a cup of coffee or lying back with the window open a crack. Dubai makes a bit more sense when you see it from this high up. And the kitchen is not just for show either. You could actually cook here instead of just microwaving takeout. Everything is in place and somehow there is even room to try a new recipe if you are feeling brave. Also when the city gets hot, you will appreciate the air conditioning here. It really works.

The bedroom is tucked off to one side so you do get privacy but still end up waking with plenty of light and a view that honestly makes you want to open the curtains even if you are still a bit sleepy. The bed is comfortable. I checked. Wardrobes are built in so you do not need to worry about storage and you can just focus on enjoying the mornings here. Even the bathroom feels like it was meant to be used for real not just for looks in a brochure. Good shower pressure is such a small thing but you would be surprised how rare it is sometimes. Here though it just feels right.

If you want to spend time downstairs the pool is temperature controlled so it works summer or winter. The gym is actually better than most hotel gyms and there is even a decent spa. Some people seem to hang out in the lobby lounge after work chatting or maybe waiting for friends so it makes the place feel lived in not just like a set piece. And if you run out of anything at home the supermarket is right by the building. Fast food? Also just a few steps. Basically you can get whatever you need without planning your whole day around errands.

You are right in Business Bay here so Downtown Dubai is only a quick drive. Restaurants shops even more views if you want them. Sometimes at night the city lights up in a way that just makes you want to get out and walk. Some days you hear kids playing by the canal. You are part of things but the busy stuff does not crowd you here. It just feels easy.
