Some places just take you by surprise when you finally walk in. That is exactly what happened to me the first time I stepped into this two bedroom apartment at Seventh Heaven, Al Barari. Maybe it is the way the light pours in through the floor to ceiling windows or maybe it is just the sense of calm that hangs in the air here. You really do start to feel yourself relax before you have even made it to the kitchen. There is something about Al Barari that always sets it apart from other Dubai communities, you know. People call it a green oasis and honestly, it feels pretty true. The view outside is all trees and flowing water and gardens instead of highways and busy buildings. I found myself lingering by the window for a few minutes, just people watching and listening— sometimes you can even hear the river if you listen hard enough.
Inside, you will probably notice what I did. It just feels generous. The whole apartment stretches out for over three thousand square feet— three thousand four hundred and sixty nine to be exact— so there is space for everything, including the big terrace that wraps around and gives you this spot where you can actually sit out in the morning with your coffee. It is not one of those terrace spaces where you are pressed against the railing clutching your mug. You get over six hundred square feet out there, more than you expect in most Dubai apartments, and honestly, you can imagine setting up a couple of chairs or even a little dinner party outside when the weather is nice.
The kitchen caught my attention, probably because it does not just look beautiful for photos. It has everything here that someone would actually use. Miele appliances all around. The microwave and dishwasher are built in so nothing is just sitting out. I keep seeing these fancy kitchens in show homes but here it feels more real somehow, like you would actually cook, not just heat up takeaway. The living room joins straight on to it, no walls cutting you off from everyone, so you can be chatting or keeping an eye on the news while you stir things on the stove.
Bedrooms, yes, there are two and both have their own bathrooms, again with big windows and built in closets so you are not fighting for storage. The finishes are all top notch, but nothing feels showy. More like it was chosen because it feels good to live with. Upstairs and downstairs, you can really see how much thought went into keeping the whole place light and open. I checked the bathrooms too, they feel like a hotel but with more quiet.
Of course, Seventh Heaven itself is pretty famous in Al Barari circles. You get the calm and the greenery and that sense of privacy without being far from what you need. Downstairs there are more than fifty places to grab something to eat or do a little shopping, and The Farm is legendary for relaxed weekend brunches. Waitrose is coming soon too, which is honestly a lifesaver for those mid week groceries. Maybe best of all, even though it feels tucked away, you can get downtown in less than twenty minutes by car, and if you need the Marina it is not much longer.
Outside, just beyond the building, you sometimes see kids on bikes, neighbors walking dogs, and every once in a while, if you look up, you will catch parrots in the trees. It is peaceful, but not sleepy, because there is always something to do if you feel like it.
Really, the only way to figure out if this two bedroom apartment gives you that same feeling it gave me is to come see it for yourself.
