Belgravia, Jumeirah Village Circle
Some places just have an easy feeling to them the moment you walk in. This two bedroom townhouse at Belgravia 3 in Jumeirah Village Circle does that for me every single time. I have been through a lot of homes in Dubai but something about JVC feels almost like a little bubble. You step off the main road and suddenly you cannot really hear the city so much anymore. When I first came to see this townhouse I just stood for a bit in the entrance and let my eyes follow the light going straight through those big windows to the courtyard. Floors are bright and clean and the whole place seems to open up without ever feeling empty or cold.
Ellington is a name you probably know if you have looked around Dubai for quality places that are not about showing off but instead just about feeling comfortable day after day. And you can feel that here before you even walk all the way in. The floor to ceiling windows in the living room let so much light in that you sometimes do not even need to turn the lights on during the day. I find myself drawn to the kitchen a lot when I visit. It is open plan so you are never cut off from whoever is sitting in the living space and you can see why someone would actually want to cook here. The pale wood is warm and the white surfaces just make it feel fresh every time. The kitchen island is big enough for people to hang around in the mornings with a coffee or share an easy dinner in the evenings. It does not have that showroom feeling that makes you too nervous to use it but instead it is the sort of kitchen where you can imagine making actual weekend breakfasts or setting up snacks for game night.
The living room itself pulls you right out to the balcony which really does feel like another room most of the year. I have seen parents on the balcony with a book and families letting the day just drift while dinner is getting ready. Down in the central courtyard children are usually playing but not in a way that gets too loud. Sometimes you catch a breeze and all you hear are birds and the distant sound of neighbours talking. In the evening the pool gets that golden Dubai light and honestly you see people actually swimming instead of just taking photos.
For anyone who likes staying active you will notice right away that the gym is bigger than you expect for this sort of property and has windows looking out on to greenery. It is the sort of view that makes the whole fitness thing just a little bit easier. The jogging track runs in a loop around mature trees and you sort of lose track of time looking at the sky while you walk or run. If you ever need to pop out for a coffee or groceries the local cafes and shops are just around the corner. You never feel cut off but you also do not get the traffic or crowds you might expect in Dubai.
Heading upstairs both bedrooms are right where you would want them. The layout makes sense and nothing feels wasted. There is storage in just the right places and both rooms get more light than you would expect. The main bedroom looks onto the courtyard and some mornings with the sun coming in it almost feels like a retreat. Bathrooms are clean lined and honestly you never have to worry about finding room for all your things. Families live here and it shows. You see kids out biking or playing and parents sharing a laugh by the pool. Ellington has really built up that real community feeling and people actually say hello in the halls which is rare in a city this size.
If you are looking for a home in Dubai that is ready for you to settle in without worrying about upgrades or too much maintenance this two bedroom townhouse in Belgravia really is a good one to see. It fits so many lifestyles. Could be your main place or just a comfortable lock and leave if you need a second home in Dubai.
The best way to figure out if it is for you is just to come by and have a look and see how it feels. If you want to ask questions or just walk through with someone who knows the area I am always around. At LuxuryProperty.com we try to make this whole moving thing feel a little more comfortable.
