Some homes just have a certain feel as soon as you step inside. This two bedroom apartment in Park Ridge at Dubai Hills Estate gave me that straight away. Maybe it is the real sunlight you get through the wide windows or just how quiet it is up here but honestly I found myself just slowing down for a moment and taking it all in. There is something nice about that.

The living area feels open without trying too hard and actually flows right into the kitchen. I walked over and thought to myself you could just as easily have friends over here for a Friday night as you could just sit with a cup of coffee on a lazy weekend morning. The kitchen itself is much more than show. It is got proper built in appliances and the counter space is actually useful. On my last visit there were kids riding bikes in the evening. Dogs getting walked. People jogging or just taking it slow after work. The green spaces are actually used and you can see people sitting outside or playing catch on the grass. There are kids parks right nearby so if that is in your plans you do not have to drive everywhere all the time. Even if you do not have a family the wide pavements make it a genuinely good place just to get outside for a bit.

If you need to commute Dubai Hills really makes it simple because you are right off Al Khail Road. From here it is easy to get to Downtown Dubai or the Marina. The Metro is not too far if you like skipping the car. There are plenty of shops popping up too especially over the past year or so. I noticed a few new coffee spots that look promising plus some proper supermarkets just downstairs so you are not dealing with crowds all the time.

You really would not know you are this close to so many busy areas because it just does not feel hectic. Views are mostly of the parks or the skyline in the distance but it feels peaceful most of the day. I stood by one of the windows and watched for a bit. It is a good place to just take a breath.
