Mamsha Al Saadiyat, Saadiyat Island
Some places just make you slow down for a second. Mamsha Al Saadiyat always does that for me. It might be the sound of the sea that is always sort of there in the background or maybe just the way the light pours in across the sand. This two bedroom apartment at Mamsha Al Saadiyat on Saadiyat Island really makes you feel itโlike you are a little tucked away from the city noise but still have Abu Dhabi and all its energy just down the road.
When I first visited, I caught myself heading straight for the balcony. It is the kind of space you linger in. Wide enough to lay out with a coffee in the morning. It almost feels like you are hanging right over the sand and the water. If you wait long enough you might see paddle boarders gliding past or catch laughter floating up from a volleyball game down at the beach. The floor to ceiling windows give you a full sweep of the sea and sunlight just fills every corner. I always like to stand next to that glass for a minute. You cannot really help it. It just feels good looking out there with sun spilling in and the water stretching toward the sky.
The first thing you will notice inside is how open the place feels. There are no awkward little corners or spaces you do not know what to do with. Living room, dining space, and kitchen all flow into each other. It is actually set up for real living. If you are cooking dinner or just making tea for a friend, you can still be part of whatever is happening in the living room. The kitchen here does not feel like one you just pass by. I have seen some spots where you would never want to cook a proper dinner but here you get soft wood cabinets, glass details, clean counters. There are little things you will spot if you look. It makes the whole space sort of inviting without trying too hard.
Both bedrooms are en suite and honestly they feel peaceful enough even with all that sunshine coming through. I liked that you could leave the balcony door open a crack at night and wake up to nothing but sea air. Each bedroom actually has direct access to the balcony too. If you like to read in the morning while you listen to waves, that is easy here. The bathrooms have that clean spa like thing. Not overdone. Just enough so you know they are well put together.
Mamsha Al Saadiyat really sets you up for easygoing days. The beach is right there. You walk straight out from the lobby and you have sand under your feet in under a minute. You do not have to get in the car or cross busy traffic to get to the best parts. If you are into being active, there is a proper jogging path and cycling track that runs along the promenade. It really is as simple as stepping out and deciding where you want to end up. And when you do feel like meeting friends or grabbing a bite, the promenade is lined with cafes and good places to eat. Sometimes you just end up sitting outdoors longer than planned. You might run into a neighbor or see kids with ice cream. The whole place feels a bit more relaxed than anywhere else I have visited in Abu Dhabi.
Of course you get all the practical things sorted. There is twenty four hour security here and covered parking so you will never have to think about your car in the heat. The pool area has that resort feel. In the afternoons it is usually families while in the mornings you catch a few regulars swimming laps. The gym actually looks out over the landscaping so you are not just staring at a dull wall.
And then you remember you are still right on Saadiyat Island. Some of the best places in Abu Dhabi are minutes away. The Louvre Abu Dhabi is so close you could walk there on a cooler day. Zayed National Museum and soon the Guggenheim are just next door. If you are into art or need places to take guests, it works out perfectly.
The thing with Mamsha Al Saadiyat is it fits different lives. Some people use these apartments as a main home. Others as a weekend break or a work escape. There is no one right way to live here. All the pieces just make it easy.
You really only get the feel of this place when you stand on that balcony or wander out to the sand for yourself. I am here if you want to come by or have some questions. At LuxuryProperty.com we want your move to be easy and comfortable. Come see if this could be your next Abu Dhabi home.
