Some places just have a certain feel to them and honestly this two bedroom apartment in Lake Almas West at Jumeirah Lake Towers starts setting the mood almost before you walk through the front door. Maybe it is the way the morning sun lights up the lobby or maybe it is just because you are up away from all the rush on a higher floor. You catch yourself taking a breath and thinking it is actually pretty quiet up here even with the city all around you. The birds outside the window were going about their business the first time I visited and it surprised me because that sort of calm does not happen everywhere in Dubai. JLT has its own rhythm and this apartment kind of lets you slow down and catch up with it.

The community at Jumeirah Lake Towers is actually one of my favorites for everyday life. You do not have to plan everything out. Coffee shop is just steps away and you do not have to scout for a supermarket. Most of the time you can walk to whatever you need and run into someone you know. You see people out jogging or pushing prams along the paths that wrap around the lakes. Evenings are for being outside here. There are landscaped spots everywhere so you really do see families with kids, couples holding hands, and sometimes someone is out with a laptop just watching the water.

The building sorts out all those life details you want sorted. There is a gym that keeps you motivated just by being there. Pool catches a good amount of sun and the sauna is quiet enough to actually relax. You have security around so you just feel looked after but they are not in your face. The elevators come quick which is handy on busy mornings. There are play areas for kids and if you need daycare you can usually find it close by. It is the kind of place people actually use all the amenities and the outdoor spaces never really feel empty.

You can get this apartment partially furnished if that makes things simple or just bring your own style and start fresh. With over fifteen hundred square feet, you do not have to squeeze either. Whether you work from home or want a peaceful spot to come back to after a busy day, it works. Sometimes you almost forget you are smack in the middle of Dubai until you see the towers shining across the lake again.
