Some places just invite you to slow down for a moment as soon as you walk in. This two bedroom apartment at Avani Palm View Hotel and Suites did that for me. Maybe it is the natural light coming in or maybe it is just the quiet energy of the place. Either way I found myself just standing by the window for a bit watching the traffic in Dubai Media City from this higher floor feeling like everything moves a bit slower from up here.

The layout is one of the things I actually noticed first. It is the biggest two bedroom style in the building and it just feels open. The kitchen is designed to work for real cooking not just show off. Everything fits without being fussy and if you like the idea of chatting with someone at the dining table while prepping dinner it just works. The living and dining flow together and honestly the windows do all the work bringing outdoors in. You see across to Emirates Golf Course so on clear mornings the sunrise is just there waiting. I can imagine sitting out on the balcony with coffee watching the city wake up. The balcony has enough space to actually use it. With the view it feels like another little room outside.

The bedrooms each do their own thing. Both are en suite which always feels more grown up than sharing a bathroom. The second bedroom surprised me with how much built in storage it has and the walk in shower is a good size. The master though is the one where you take a mental note and think yes I could live here. A small space set up as a home office but you could turn it into whatever you want. There is also a laundry nook so you are not dealing with clothes everywhere. It all feels tidy and just easy.

One of the things about Avani Palm View is you get the feeling of a hotel but it is really a residential environment. The building is well kept people always seem friendly in the halls. Plus you have amenities all over in the Avani Hotel. I tried the pool and it feels a bit like being at a resort on the weekend. There are in house restaurants downstairs so grabbing a coffee or a post work dinner is just downstairs. Some days you see people working on laptops in the lobby cafe or heading down to the gym with a towel over their shoulder. It has that gentle mixed vibe between city living and laid back holiday time.

Getting around is simple. The Palm Monorail and Dubai Tram are right outside and Dubai Metro is easy to reach. Even if you drive you are close to Sheikh Zayed Road so JBR Dubai Marina or Downtown is a straightforward drive. Dubai Media City is the sort of area where you see everyone from young families to people running their own businesses. It feels lively but not noisy.

The apartment is unfurnished so you can make it exactly what you want and with one thousand nine hundred thirteen square feet of space you are not feeling boxed in. Palm View mixes the convenience of hotel style living with a real sense of home. Sometimes you almost forget you are in the city at all.
