When I walked into this two bedroom apartment at Avani Palm View Hotel and Suites in Dubai Media City, right away the first thing was all that space and light. Sometimes it feels like apartments in this part of town try to cram so much into one place that you always have to squeeze past the furniture. Here, you get room to actually breathe. There is this big open living room where I could easily see family and friends spending an evening together, and then there's a real dining corner that actually feels comfortable. Not something stuck by the kitchen just because it fits on the plan.

The kitchen is semi open, which I honestly like. You can chat with people in the living area while you are putting breakfast together. There is a breakfast counter that would probably become the spot where everyone tends to gather in the morning. The kitchen feels usable too, with integrated appliances that blend right in. Not for just looking at. I think you could actually cook a proper meal in here without tripping over yourself. When I stuck my head in, I could almost picture someone making pancakes with the coffee brewing.

You will start to notice the sea popping up in the corner of your eye any time you turn around. I even saw the odd boat floating past while I was there. If you like mornings or evenings with a cup of coffee or just sitting with your phone off for a bit, this place gives you that view.

What is practical too, the Avani Palm View has a bunch of facilities right downstairs. Probably the first thing you will see if you are into swimming is that outdoor pool. There are days when the sun is just right and the water looks almost glassy. The gym – AvaniFit – actually has enough equipment so you will not be waiting your turn like at some bigger towers. There are even two signature restaurants in the building, so if you ever feel like dining out but not leaving home, you have something special right on site. Sometimes you see people popping down for a bite then coming back upstairs with takeaway.

And the location just makes things easy. You are right by Palm Jumeirah, literally a couple of turns on the main road and you are there. Dubai Marina is in the other direction, so every kind of shopping or coffee place or brunch you might want is close. I drove around a bit, and it really is never more than fifteen minutes to anything. Whether you work in Media City or just want to be right in the middle of all the beachside action, it fits the bill.

This apartment is available for short term rent so it is pretty flexible if you want somewhere modern without having to worry too much about furnishing or committing for too long. Feels ready for someone who wants to just move in and start living rather than fix or fuss over the details.
