Some places just make you feel settled the second you walk in. This two bedroom apartment in Al Barsha One does exactly that. The building itself feels pretty quiet when you come through the lobby and once you step inside the apartment there is this sense of calm. Maybe it is the big windows let in so much sun or maybe it is just the way the space is laid out but it seems to invite you to slow down a little.
The first thing you will probably notice is how light fills up the living and dining area. I was there around four in the afternoon and that cozy golden glow you get at the end of the day just poured into the room. The open plan setup means there is more than enough space to set up a proper dining table without it feeling cramped. Even with a bigger sofa or a couple of armchairs it still feels easy to move around. And then there is the balcony. It is bigger than I expected and a nice spot if you like sitting outside and watching the neighborhood start to wake up or wind down. The view here is all about the community, nothing showy, just a real slice of Al Barsha. Sometimes you can spot kids playing football down below or people just heading out for coffee.
You get that sense that things are close by. Mall of the Emirates is right there and there are always people out and about since the metro is never far. But up here it stays pretty peaceful. The closed kitchen is just off the hallway, separated but still close enough so you can chat with friends in the living room while you cook. Some closed kitchens can feel a bit boxed in honestly, but this one is roomy and there is plenty of counter space for anyone who actually enjoys cooking. You also have space for a proper five cooker not just a small thing squeezed into a corner. Storage is sorted too. There is even a maid's room if you need a bit of extra space or want to keep things tidy.
Walking further down the hallway you will find the bedrooms. I always think bedrooms should be quiet and tucked away and that is exactly what you get here. The second bedroom is a real practical space with built in white closets. Enough room for kids or maybe a home office. It has its own bathroom too so no awkward mornings trying to time your showers. The master bedroom is at the end and I have to say it feels special. Those floor to ceiling windows open up on two sides and in the mornings you can catch the city waking up with the Mall of the Emirates in view. It feels private yet connected. The ensuite bathroom is big enough that you are not fighting for elbow room with the finishes clean and simple. Not fussy at all.
One of the things I like about Al Barsha is how relaxed it actually feels in the middle of everything. You have restaurants around you and supermarkets if you feel like making your own dinner. Public transport is handy so whether you work in Media City or Sheikh Zayed Road or anywhere in between it is kind of a stress free place to come home to. The coffee shops are always busy and in the evening you sometimes see neighbors out walking or chatting by the entrances. You get the sense that people actually live here not just pass through.
Honestly sometimes you only know if a place is right the moment you step through the door and just listen for a second. If that sounds like something you want to check out let me know. I am happy to show you around or answer anything you want to ask. With LuxuryProperty.com the idea is to make finding your next home in Dubai as comfortable and laid back as possible. You should feel at home even before you move in.
