Sidra Villas, Dubai Hills Estate
Some places just feel easy the second you walk in and this three bedroom villa in Sidra at Dubai Hills Estate really is that kind of home. Sun spills inside as you step through the front door and honestly it just makes you want to pause for a second before moving any further. I found myself drawn to the big staircase at once because of all the glass. Those tall floor to ceiling windows do something special for the whole ground floor. It's the kind of light that makes everything inside feel just that much bigger and brighter. The owners have kept the whole thing in these gentle pale tones it almost feels like you're walking into spring all year round.
You'll notice straight away the kitchen is not just there to look good. There is actually space for all the things you want a proper family kitchen to have. You could easily fit in a proper sized fridge and even that big stove you see in the fancy cooking shows. Plus there is a gas connection ready. If you like to cook for real this is the place. Standing in the kitchen I could imagine evenings where one person is getting dinner ready and someone else is maybe helping with homework at the dining table. And then you look up and see green outside the sliding doors. The garden just stretches off the back and the doors from the lounge and dining area mean it is easy to float in and out during the nice months. Honestly the way the two rooms open right onto the pool and barbecue area makes this house feel lively even when no one is there.
The garden is a good shape too. Not too big not small at all either. You can easily picture some friends around the barbeque while kids splash in the pool or even just a few quiet mornings sipping coffee out there. Even on a day when Dubai feels busy this spot is so peaceful you can almost forget your phone for a while.
The other thing I liked was how proper the maid's space and the storage is. You do not always get that. There is even dedicated space set up for the washer and dryer already. Under the stairs they tucked away a nice powder room for guests so your family bathroom always stays private. The door to the garage is right there too so on grocery days it is easy to bring everything through.
Head upstairs and the main bedroom is just a treat. The first thing you see is the garden and trees from the window. The walk through closet feels easy not cramped. The bathroom has a soaking tub you might end up spending hours in and a private terrace for those quiet sunrise or sunset moments which I think are kind of rare in Dubai. The other two bedrooms are both good sized. Here is something you may not expect they each have their own more spacious bathroom rather than sharing which most families find way more practical and honestly makes mornings a lot smoother.
The garage is covered and will not give you headaches about space. Fits two cars easy and closes up if you want extra security. Not every villa in Dubai Hills Estate has this kind of driveway space so you will not have guests fighting for parking. Even on weekends when the neighbourhood is a little busy with families heading to the parks or cycling paths or just grabbing breakfast at one of the coffee shops nearby there never seems to be a crunch.
You get all the greenery Dubai Hills Estate is famous for without ever really noticing the city bustle. There are always kids on bikes in the evenings or neighbours heading for an evening run. Lately I have seen a few folks just walking dogs and catching up together outside these villas.
The owners are selling this one in the secondary market and they are asking less than what it cost off plan so that says a bit about their motivation.
Honestly the only way you really know if a place feels right is to come walk through. Take your time. Maybe just sit in the garden for a minute.
