Some homes just make you slow down when you walk through the door and this three bedroom villa in Maple at Dubai Hills Estate definitely does that for me. The first time I came in I stood near the big windows for a minute and just watched the way the sunlight bounced around the room. That light is honestly one of my favourite things about this place. Floor to ceiling glass is no joke here you actually notice it in every single space. There is this real feeling that the outdoors are right there with you even if you are just hanging out on the couch or cooking in the kitchen.

Speaking of the kitchen it is not one of those showy spaces that look good in the photos but nobody actually wants to use. It is semi closed which really does keep the smells and sounds in check especially if you have friends over but it is still open enough that you do not feel left out from whatever is happening in the lounge. I could picture people having good conversations while somebody stirs a pot or preps for dinner. Out the sliding doors the private garden sort of stretches out and I have seen everything from someone reading there in the late afternoon to kids actually tossing a ball around. You get the sense this backyard is really meant to be used not just looked at from inside.

Upstairs life gets even more comfortable. There are two bedrooms that honestly feel bigger than what you would guess from outside especially with the sunlight coming in. Built in wardrobes are already there so it just takes the stress out of moving in you do not have to worry about buying extra cupboards or running out of space. There is a shared bathroom along the hall and it actually feels private because of the way the rooms are laid out. Then the master bedroom just feels like its own little getaway. The walk in closet makes picking out clothes pretty easy in the mornings. The en suite bathroom has that fresh feeling only a new home seems to have. The balcony is kind of my secret favourite spot though it looks over the main park and I caught myself just leaning on the rail listening to the birds and the general peace that you never realize you miss until you notice it.

One good thing about this particular villa is that it is brand new. Not just kind of new but actually just handed over. The developer gives you a one year warranty for maintenance so if something acts up you know you are not stuck with it. That is worth a lot especially if you have rented older places before. Sometimes you just want that peace of mind where everything actually works and if it does not somebody will come handle it.

The thing about Maple at Dubai Hills Estate is it has a bit of everything people seem to look for here. You walk past neighbours out with their dogs or see people jogging in the mornings and you get the feeling this is a real community. There are parks all around and you even have the main one right at the back so you do not really lose views to another row of houses. Sometimes you see kids biking or people out chatting around sunset. Schools are nearby so mornings are simple you do not have to rush forever. Even the coffee shop is not far if you are like me and need that first coffee before anything else gets started.

The layout here just feels easy. It is over two thousand square feet of built up space so you do not feel cramped. The plot is a good size too so there is space between you and the neighbours. Parking is sorted of course and you can actually see your car from the window which I always like.

I guess I could sit and tell you about all the features and numbers but really it comes down to how the house feels to you. You might walk in and just know it will work or maybe you will think about it for a bit that is normal.
