Balqis Residences, Kingdom of Sheba, Palm Jumeirah
Some homes on Palm Jumeirah just slow you down from the very first step inside. This three bedroom villa at Kingdom of Sheba actually does that. It was quiet when I visited except for a bit of breeze and honestly you start thinking less about your phone and more about how good it might feel to live somewhere like this.
First thing you notice is space. Not just big for the sake of it but a comfortable openness where you can breathe. The living and dining area just flows together with these tall windows and you almost do not realize how much natural light keeps coming in through the day. I stood near one corner for a minute and watched the way sunlight played across the floors and got a glimpse of green outside. There is something uplifting about having that indoor outdoor sense all the time. The kitchen surprised me too. Not one of those must not touch show kitchens either. This one looks ready for real cooking. There is lots of counter space and you could totally picture someone getting into a big weekend breakfast here or a quick coffee before stepping out. All the appliances are modern and tucked away neatly so nothing gets in your way.
Now the bedrooms each have a bit of their own feel. Every one has an en suite and each one opens up to its own balcony. In the mornings I imagine stepping outside with a cup of tea and just taking in the view. Most days you will probably want to sleep with the curtains a little bit open just to wake up to that early light. Wardrobe space is sorted too by the way and it is the kind you will end up filling with less stuff than you expect once you start living lighter. The bathrooms actually feel like you would want to spend time in them not just rush through. Hot water and good pressure makes showers a small luxury every single time.
The plot itself feels generous without being overwhelming. Out back there is a neat landscaped garden that looks well loved but does not seem like you will be forever maintaining it. There are a couple of spots perfect for sitting out. I stood by what could easily be a little outdoor dining area and for a second thought about an evening with a few friends over. There is a terrace too. Not noisy at all. Sometimes out here you hear the sea more than the people which is rare these days.
But what actually makes living here different is probably the private beach access. You are a minute away from sand in your toes and these clear blue waters that really do remind you of why people talk about the Palm so much. I have seen people wander down in the evening just to catch the sunset or read a book by the shore. Some even go for a swim before breakfast. Life slows down. Kind of hard to beat that.
Around you Kingdom of Sheba feels secure and private but never cut off. You are still right on the Palm and that means world class dining and shopping is not far away at all. A little trip out for coffee or something from the groceries hardly takes any time and before you know it you are back in your own quiet world. Kids play outside sometimes and there is a friendly feeling with neighbours nodding hello.
Sometimes we get asked about what daily life feels like in a place like this. Honestly it is easy. Morning walks on soft lawns. Evenings with sand between your toes. There is electricity and water sorted. Security that does not crowd you. It is all just set up to let you get on with actually living.
If this three bedroom villa in Kingdom of Sheba sounds even a little bit right to you the best way to know is to come by and walk through.
