Al Reem 2, Al Reem, Arabian Ranches
Sometimes when you walk into a house, before you even notice the little details, there is already a certain mood. This three bedroom villa in Al Reem at Arabian Ranches sets that kind of scene. Maybe it is the sunlight spilling across the floor when you come in or honestly it might just be the view from the back garden. I remember the first time I was here I stood near the window for a minute just looking over at the lake. There was a bit of a breeze and you could almost hear it moving through the trees near the water. Somehow everything felt quieter.
You get a proper sense of space right when you step inside. The living room is really open so even if you have friends over or the kids are running around you never feel squeezed in. It is the kind of layout where you can see straight through to the dining area and out toward the garden. The kitchen feels like somewhere to actually cook. There is plenty of countertop space which is something you notice when you imagine trying out a weekend breakfast or even just packing school lunches. Sometimes these kitchens feel like decoration but here you can tell meals actually happen and family life fits.
Out back in the garden, it is green and looked after but not overdone. You have got enough space for a barbecue or to let a dog run around or lay down a blanket and look up at the sky for a bit. There is a little path and if you head a few steps you are right by the lake. To be honest, you will likely end up taking short evening walks more often than not just because it is all on your doorstep.
Downstairs, there is a guest bathroom and a space that works as a family room but if you need it, could easily turn into another bedroom. Even a home office maybe if you are still on that work from home routine. There are maid's quarters tucked away in a way that still keeps the rest of the space open and flowing. Nothing feels blocked off or hidden.
Head upstairs and you find this extra area which makes a good playroom or maybe a spot for movie nights. The three bedrooms are easy to imagine moving into without fuss. The master bedroom has that walk-in closet which is actually useful, not just for show, and the ensuite bath feels bright in the mornings. Best part might be the little balcony. You stand out there and it is just open. You get the view over the garden and that calm bit of lake beyond. If you are an early riser with a coffee, this spot is peaceful before the neighborhood wakes up.
The two other bedrooms pretty much get the same treatment. They share a good sized bathroom and you will notice big windows let in the sort of sun that makes getting up for school or work a little less tough. The community here in Arabian Ranches, especially in Al Reem, is very neighborly. Every time I am here, I see people jogging by or families with strollers out on morning walks. Playgrounds are scattered here and there and it is sort of normal to see kids biking or playing basketball while parents catch up. There are actually three community pools, so you never have a long walk to jump in and cool off. Tennis courts and barbecue stations mean weekend plans sort themselves out.
Access to the main road is easy but it never feels busy. The shops, little cafes, and even the school runs are all a quick drive. You always end up finding a new favorite coffee shop or bakery.
Honestly, it just feels easy living here. Nothing showy or complicated. It is somewhere to really come home to. The only way to know for sure is to see it yourself.
