Shoreline Apartments, Palm Jumeirah
Some homes just let you breathe a little easier when you step through the door. That is the way I felt with this three bedroom apartment at Shoreline Apartments in Al Khushkar over on Palm Jumeirah. The funny thing is you would think high end properties would feel stiff sometimes, but this place really does not. You walk in and it is just open. Right as you come in you are met with an open living space that feels honest and big, not the kind of big that only looks good in pictures. I spent a minute standing there, shoes off, and just got a sense of how the light moves across the floor next to the big window. It is faint in the morning but by late afternoon, it pretty much pours in. You just want to put a chair there and watch the day go by.
The kitchen is off to one side and honestly, it looks like a proper kitchen. Not just one for show. There is a steel Ariston cooker and a Siemens dishwasher already in place. It is unfurnished so you will want to bring your own personality to it but that actually makes it more interesting because you really do get to make it your own. I could easily picture someone actually spending time here, chopping some vegetables in the evening or maybe doing batch cooking for the week. Sometimes with Palm Jumeirah apartments you get a kitchen that looks great in a brochure and then you realise you never use it, but this one feels usable. Also if you peek out from the kitchen you can keep an eye on things in the living area so if you have family or little ones running around you are not cut off from the rest of life.
There is a maid's room just off the side which could work for live in help, or frankly, if you work from home you could turn it into a small office. You notice, as you walk around, the storage is actually pretty decent. There is a separate space for all your extra gear. I know everyone thinks they travel light until you try to store a suitcase or sports stuff. This apartment is ready for that.
The living area extends to a large terrace and, honestly, it is the view that will probably get you. Even just standing there for five minutes looking out, you see Palm Jumeirah unfold in both directions. Sometimes you hear the sound of kids playing outside or see people jogging in the mornings. That makes the place feel alive, like part of a real community rather than just another apartment block. In the cooler months, just imagine having your morning coffee out there, or maybe dinner outside with friends while the city twinkles over the water.
Bedrooms are tucked away quietly from the main space. Each one is a good size, not crammed together, and there are enough bathrooms that you are not queuing up in the mornings. The main bathroom has a bath, shower, two sinks and yes, two toilets which is actually pretty useful when everyone's running late or you have guests over for Friday lunch. It is the sort of setup where a family actually fits.
And being part of the Shoreline Apartments means all the Palm Jumeirah perks are close. You are a walk away from the beach, you have parks nearby and of course, the nearby shops and cafes for those lazy mornings or last minute errands. Even public transport is not far so if you want to head into the rest of Dubai it is easy enough.
The apartment is vacant, which honestly just means no waiting around. If you like it, you can move in pretty quickly. You get all the space and calm of Palm Jumeirah living, right on the second floor so you are not cut off but you still get those views.
It is hard to sum up in just words. The only way to know if this Shoreline Apartments home feels right is to walk through it yourself. I am around if you have questions or want to take a look. At LuxuryProperty.com we try to make the whole thing feel as comfortable as possible, so just ask if you want to know more.
