Bulgari Resort & Residences, Jumeirah Bay Island, Jumeirah
Some places just have that effect where the second you walk in you slow down without even thinking about it. This three bedroom apartment at the Bulgari Resort and Residences on Jumeirah Bay Island really hits you like that. I actually stood by the window for a while just looking out over the marina. I could see the gentle movement of the yachts in the water and it just felt peaceful in a way that is kind of rare in Dubai. You get that sense that people here are happy to take things at their own pace. That is something you really feel when you are actually standing in the space, taking it all in.
The living area just kind of flows easily from one room to another. There is no awkward space you have to work around. The open plan design makes it feel even bigger than it is and with about 2631 square feet there is plenty of room to spread out. The windows honestly make the biggest difference. They run straight from the floor to the ceiling so there is nothing blocking that view. Sometimes you can catch the sun lighting up the wood flooring and it just brings the whole room to life. They went with this nice soft palette for the walls and floors so you never feel overwhelmed by the space even on your first walk through. It is very calm and easy. And no kidding the air always feels fresher over here on Jumeirah Bay Island. I think being so close to the water just helps with that.
The kitchen, you will see, it is honestly the sort of space where you can actually cook. It is not one of those show kitchens that just looks good in photos. You have smart appliances built in right where you need them. There is loads of countertop space if you like to get hands on with food. And even if you just want to make coffee and eat some toast in the mornings, it feels like a nice start to any day. Sometimes people talk about smart home features and it all seems a bit much but here it honestly just makes sense. Lights and blinds adjust themselves at the right times. If you do not want to think about it, you do not have to. And if you like to fiddle with settings you can do that too.
The three bedrooms are all a good size. None of them are an afterthought. You will notice the master has some extra touches. I liked how the closet space is generous but still tucked out of sight. When you look out from the bedrooms you just see the marina or across Jumeirah. At night it is actually pretty quiet out here. Sometimes you even hear the water if you open a window.
Of course part of living at Bulgari Resort and Residences is the lifestyle outside your door. The marina here is not just for show, there are real yachts coming and going and sometimes you get to see people heading out for a day on the water. The promenade is probably one of the best places in Dubai if you want high end shops or restaurants without the noise and rush of bigger malls. The food is honestly really good and you will probably catch a few of your neighbors at the cafe in the mornings. The Bulgari Yacht Club is right there, and as a resident you actually get to use the private lounge. Sometimes you see folks chatting with friends or working quietly on a laptop. There is a sense of community here that is rare in most marina apartments.
It is hard to sum up what makes this apartment special without seeing it for yourself. You get five star service from the Bulgari team so everything is looked after from day to day, but the apartment still feels personal and relaxed. Some people use these as a primary home, others just come for the weekends or holidays. Either way it is the sort of place that feels good to return to. Jumeirah Bay Island is close enough to the city if you need to get downtown but it stays private and quiet nearly all day.
If the idea of waking up by the water and living somewhere that is both luxurious and easy appeals to you, it might be worth a closer look. Really the only way to know if it fits you is to come see it in person. Let me know if you are curious or if you just want to take a walk through.
