Sometimes the first thing you notice is not the details but just how it feels to be there.

When you cross into the main area, which is pretty big, actually, there is no getting away from the nice open living and dining space. The windows are all about giving you that soft morning light. The terrace outside is something special too, just above Golden Mile Park. I stood by the railing for a bit and watched a couple walking their dog down below. If you like to have a coffee first thing or drag out lunch on a weekend, this is your place. It gets that calm breeze most times and sometimes you will hear birds, which always feels a bit surprising when you think of everything going on nearby.

Al Ittihad Park is right there, and on a cool morning you see people heading out for a run or families cycling together. If you like to keep active, the track is three point two kilometres, which surprised me actually, it feels bigger because the trees are so grown in.

Practical stuff is all sorted too. Coffee shops are literally around the corner. Café Nero does a nice flat white and Tim Hortons is for when you want something just easy and sweet. There are restaurants like Shakespeare and Co, where the staff somehow remember your usual order if you go often enough. The Golden Mile Galleria is really close for a quick shop. Nakheel Mall is also nearby which sorts groceries, salons, last minute gifts, haircuts, and even the pharmacy when someone catches a cold. It is all a walk or a very short drive.

So all in all, if you are after a spacious three bedroom apartment for rent on Palm Jumeirah, this one in Golden Mile is about as good as it gets for island living. The layout just works.
