When I walked into this three bedroom apartment in the Burj Khalifa area, high up above Downtown Dubai, there was this hush that only comes from feeling a little bit above it all. Sometimes I see people dressed up for a night out heading past in the evenings. If you work in DIFC or just enjoy a good meal there every once in a while, you can get there fast. Kids riding bikes along the fountains edge is not unusual either. The neighbourhood just hums with life but your apartment still feels private and calm above it all.
