Some homes just have a certain calm to them as soon as you step inside. This three bedroom apartment at 17 Icon Bay in Dubai Creek Harbour actually did that for me. I found myself almost forgetting to check my phone for a while. The space somehow makes you pause and look around for a minute. Even with all of Dubai just outside, it feels a bit like your own quiet corner.

This spot really does sit right at the edge of Central Park. You step out and green lawns stretch ahead, with skyline views that sneak up on you and make you stay a little longer by the window. From the living room you can look straight out over Dubai Creek and on some mornings if you catch it early enough the light changes the color of the water. There are birds that come and go out by Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary too and those big windows let you catch it all from your sofa or even while you pass through to the kitchen.

The living area is all open plan it actually feels like something you'd use every day. The kitchen blends right in it is not tucked away behind doors so it works if you like to chat while you cook and sometimes you can even keep an eye on the skyline while you stir or slice. White and soft grey shades keep it relaxed. It is not showy honestly it just feels easy. There is a terrace too and it is wide enough for a couple of chairs or even a small table. The fresh air there somehow feels cooler maybe because you are up high and the breeze comes in from the creek.

Dubai Creek Harbour is pretty new and still growing but you already have a few coffee places nearby and groceries are close enough that you will not run out of milk unless you want to. Downtown Dubai is just across the way and if you drive you are on major roads in no time but honestly the creek feels a world away from the city rush.

One thing I noticed is how quiet it felt on the balcony even with the city in view. You get a sense you are close to everything but you are not in the middle of all the rush. Sometimes in the evening you see the lights across the water and they bounce back off the glass towers here.

I think this apartment would be good for someone who wants a simple base that feels close to nature but does not want to give up city life. There is just something easy about living by the water.
