1 Bedroom Apartment in Murjan, Jumeirah Beach Residence

Some homes just sort of make you slow down when you walk in. That was exactly my feeling with this one bedroom apartment in Murjan 4 right on Jumeirah Beach Residence. The first thing I noticed honestly might have been the calm. It is up in the air a bit and you can see the sea stretching out past Bluewaters Island and all the way over toward the Marina. I stood by the windows for a while. The thing about the view from here is that it actually feels like it becomes part of the apartment. You notice the light bouncing around in the mornings and sometimes you just find yourself watching boats drifting by or even just folks walking along the beach below.

Inside, everything just feels easy. The way the space is set up makes it feel much bigger than you would expect with only one bedroom. That downstairs area is all open so you have this lovely furnished lounge that kind of flows right into the kitchen. You can tell it is somewhere you could actually enjoy cooking a proper dinner rather than just microwaving leftovers. I kept thinking it would be nice to have some coffee in the morning with those windows open and the breeze coming in.

There is an entwined staircase I have to mention because it is just kind of charming. It takes you up to the bedroom, which honestly could be the best part. It is private and quiet up here and then you get this little balcony just for you. Floor to ceiling windows make a difference too. You get all that daylight, especially in the morning, and then at night you can see the city lights across the water. Some evenings from here you actually notice the sky start turning those really impressive Dubai colours just before sunset. It can be pretty special after a long day.

Murjan 4 itself just makes day to day living feel simple. You are literally steps from JBR Walk. There are always people about, tourists taking pictures, local families wandering home with groceries, sometimes you'll see kids zooming past on bikes in the evening. Pick your mood and you can find a restaurant or a cafe within a few minutes' walk. There is a massive range, honestly. Some days you want something fancy, and then other times all you want is a beachside shawarma. Both are right here.

Of course, you have got all of the amenities that make the Jumeirah Beach Residence lifestyle so appealing. There is a private gym here which helps with actually sticking to a routine. The pool is usually pretty quiet from what I have seen, except maybe on weekends when everyone comes out to enjoy the sun. Tennis courts. Private spots to relax if you do not feel like bumping into everyone by the beach. Even if you work from home there are spaces and little corners where you can set up with your laptop and enjoy the view while you work.

One neat thing about living in Murjan 4 is some real little perks that sometimes make life smoother. Residents get discounted rates at a few of the nearby hotels so it is a plus if you like to have friends from out of town. The thing I like is that the landlord right now is covering the agency commission and Empower fee until the end of October so you do not have to worry about the upfront stuff that usually slows things down. Plus, rent payments can be made in up to four cheques which takes off a bit of pressure.

If you like the sound of living by the sea, never being far from a coffee shop or the best part of JBR, this one probably deserves a look. The only way to know if it feels right is to come see it.
