Some places just feel different when you walk in and I think this one bedroom apartment right up in the Burj Khalifa sort of pulls you in right away. The thing that gets you first is probably the view before you even notice what is under your feet or whether the wood is oak or walnut. I just stood by the window for a while and you can actually see all of Downtown Dubai stretched out below you. The Opera House is right there. And when it is really clear you catch a glimpse of the sea shining off in the distance. Being on a high floor really makes the city look quiet sometimes even though you know how busy it is down there.
Inside, it is honestly easy to see yourself here. Warm wood under your feet. Lighter colors on the furniture. It is not one of those cold and perfect apartments. If anything there is a bit of life to it. There are places where you might put your own touch but also nothing really needs fixing. The kitchen is the kind where you could actually cook for real. You have got all the Miele appliances lined up and the storage is better than you probably expect. I have opened every cupboard. Even the handles feel solid. It is nice. The living room does not try too hard but you have these big floor to ceiling windows that go all the way round and light just pours in pretty much the whole day. Sitting there with a coffee and just watching the city go past is probably how I would spend Sundays.
Some people think one bedroom means you will feel cramped but here it is just not the case. The layout actually makes sense. There is a good amount of space to walk around. You could even put a little home office by the window and maybe get distracted by the skyline every half hour. The bedroom feels tucked away enough for privacy but you still wake up to sun every morning. There are wardrobes along one wall that slide open easily and nothing creaks. The bathroom is the sort of place where you actually want to stand under the rain shower for a while after a long day. Materials all feel proper. Nothing wobbles. The taps have that cold touch you expect in the morning.
But what gets most people is the lifestyle that comes with Burj Khalifa apartments. You really are in the middle of Downtown Dubai. Early mornings you might see someone jogging in the plaza below or even groups doing yoga near the fountains. There is always life around so if you want to grab a last minute coffee or eat out somewhere new you are sorted. Everything is close by. The building itself is quietly impressive. There are swimming pools with that bit of luxury feel but it never feels crowded. The gym is bigger than most hotel gyms and there is actually a view while you run on the treadmill so it is not just staring at a blank wall. You will also notice the residents' lounge which is nice for an evening with a few friends or just reading if you like quiet. Then there is exclusive access to the Burj Club and that connection to the Armani Hotel downstairs which sometimes means even breakfast feels a bit special.
Honestly what I like is that it never feels fussy. Sounds strange for somewhere so luxury but it is just easy. You park. You take the elevator up. Staff are friendly. Security is there but not in your face. Sometimes you almost forget you are in the Burj Khalifa until you step out and see all of Downtown, the Dubai Opera, and the sea out past the city. You are always connected to the best of Downtown Dubai whether you are grabbing groceries or just want some fresh air at the fountains. The Dubai Mall is a quick wander and there is always something happening if you feel like being out.
At the end of the day the only real way to know if it feels right is to come and see it for yourself. Photos never quite do justice to the views or the feeling of standing at that window. I am always happy to answer questions or show you around if you want to stop by. At LuxuryProperty.com we try our best to make finding a home in the Burj Khalifa about you and making sure it just feels right. Let me know if you want to walk through.
