Burj Daman, DIFC
Some homes just seem to slow the day down a bit. This one bedroom apartment at Burj Daman in DIFC does that the second you put your key in the door. There is just this quiet feel as soon as you get inside and it is mostly coming from those huge floor to ceiling windows. I am not exaggerating at all when I say the light just spills through the entire place. If you sit on the couch for a while you will notice the sun moving along the wooden floors and honestly you start to see the DIFC skyline in a whole other way. Every window really frames it and you catch yourself getting lost in the view sometimes.
I have to say the owners took their time upgrading the apartment. All the woodwork has been redone and it does make things look much more modern and open in here. There is this natural brightness everywhere and somehow the rooms feel bigger than you would expect for a one bedroom in DIFC. The living area flows out to a spacious balcony which, if you invite a couple friends over, you will find is just right. Even just having your morning coffee or working from home out there feels a bit special with that view over the city. And you do see people outside now and again heading down to the coffee shops below or meeting up at the restaurants right in the building.
Speaking of which, that is one of the things I like most about Burj Daman. You do not have to go far for almost anything. Downstairs there are restaurants and cafes that people travel here to try, and if you live here as a resident you get a discount, which is a nice touch. Sometimes I see folks from upstairs grabbing a pastry before work or catching up for lunch without ever leaving the building. The pool area is a surprise if you have not seen it before. It sits high and you can see both Burj Khalifa and Zabeel out in the distance. Some buildings say they have a pool but this one really feels like somewhere you would actually swim or just relax for a while, especially on weekends with a book. Not to mention the gym, it is properly fitted out, not just a couple machines tucked into a spare room, and there is even a squash court if you are keen on that. I know a few residents who get pretty competitive.
The location is another thing that just makes life easier here. You are right in the heart of DIFC so the Gate Village is pretty much across the street. There are galleries, loads of restaurants, late evening spots, and you do not have to bother with traffic every time you want to get out to somewhere else. Getting over to Downtown is simple, and if you need to be in other parts of Dubai it always feels like you are already halfway there because of where Burj Daman sits. And now, with the Waldorf Astoria open just below, friends or family visiting get to enjoy a high end stay just steps away from your place. I have met a few residents who say this makes it so much easier when people come to town.
You will also want to know that the apartment is furnished and currently rented which is bringing in a net yield of five percent, so from an investment side things are ticking along smoothly. The built up area gives you good space at almost nine hundred square feet and nothing here feels cramped.
If you are looking for a real home in DIFC, not one that is just a box in the sky, this one gives you a bit more. The views change every hour and there is always something to look at. The only way to know if it feels right is to come see it. Any questions at all or if you want to take a walk through, I am always around. At LuxuryProperty.com we just want your next place to feel like it fits.
