Ashjar, Al Barari
Some homes have a kind of gentle quiet when you step inside. This one bedroom apartment at Ashjar in Al Barari feels like that right away. The corridors getting here are green and calm. On the way in, you can actually hear birds instead of traffic for a change. I caught myself slowing down my walk, almost like the place tells you to take a breath.
Inside, it is open and bright in a way that just feels easy. The living area does not pretend to be something grand but it does feel comfortable. There is enough space here to actually live, not just pass through between work and sleep. The kitchen faces you with this steady look of soft cabinets and shiny Miele appliances. I am not a chef and even I wanted to try cooking something for real in here. You will notice the counters go long enough for spreading out or sharing coffee with a friend. Sometimes places with fancy kitchens seem like you would just order takeaway but this one gives off a different vibe. It feels ready for someone who enjoys making a meal or even a late night snack.
Step out onto the terrace and you get all that greenery Al Barari is known for. I leaned on the railing for a bit and you can smell fresh plants and soil, not city fumes, which is rare in Dubai. The way the terrace stretches out makes it feel like another room of sorts. You can see people walking below sometimes or the way the trees sway in the afternoon. It is not so high up that you feel far away but you still get privacy. I could picture a good morning here, just coffee in hand and a soft breeze.
There is only a couple of homes on each floor so you really do not get much noise drifting over. In the bedroom it gets even quieter which I like. It comes with an en suite set up and that walk in dressing room. The closets are honestly bigger than I expected. Not cramped at all. The color scheme leans soft and natural, almost white and creamy in parts, helping all the daylight bounce around. It creates an easy mood for sleep or reading. Nothing feels busy or overdone.
I found that everything flows gently from one area to the next. Open plan living sometimes means you lose coziness but not here. The lounge and dining blend without being awkward so you can put your feet up and relax, then still have your own space to eat or work. Sometimes you notice little details like how the balcony doors close easy and tight or how the A C is just whisper quiet.
Walking outside, you are in the middle of Al Barari so it is honestly pretty green all around. You can wander to the Farm Restaurant if you do not feel like cooking. Their breakfasts are something special and lots of the locals stop by for an easy weekend brunch. If you want a workout, the gym nearby has actual natural light and all the equipment that makes staying healthy not feel like a chore. Plus, Seventh Heaven is close enough for bits of shopping or when you just want some takeaway coffee. The paths winding through the community mean you will sometimes see families or people walking dogs or taking their time home after dinner.
Living in Ashjar does feel more private than other places I have seen. It is not crowded and loud, and each apartment seems almost tucked away in the trees. So if you are looking for a one bedroom rental in Dubai that is peaceful and surrounded by nature, this is one to see. It is easy to get to main roads but you do not hear them, which is a nice surprise. And honestly sometimes you almost forget how close you are to the city with all the green.
If you are curious, or want to get a true feel for the place, let me know and we can arrange for a visit. The only way to know if it feels right is to walk through and see for yourself. Whenever you are ready, we are happy to make it simple and comfortable for you at LuxuryProperty.com.
