Palm Hills, Dubai Hills Estate
Some homes just set a different tone from the first step. That is exactly how it felt when I walked into this five bedroom villa in Palm Hills over at Dubai Hills Estate. There is something about the glow from the floor to ceiling windows that just makes you want to stop and take a breath. You notice how the light moves across the living room in the mornings and again in the late afternoon. It is the kind of feeling you do not always get, even in new Dubai properties. This villa is partly designed by Elie Saab which shows up right away in the elegant lines and the way everything feels pulled together but not over the top. There is a comfortable energy in the area too. You might see neighbours strolling with their dogs or hear kids playing as the sun goes down. The whole place just feels truly lived in and lively.
What I like about this villa is it is more than just big spaces and tall ceilings though yes it does have over six thousand square feet to spread out in. The way the rooms connect feels thoughtful. The formal living room is the kind of place where you can imagine having slow conversations with friends or just enjoying quiet moments on your own. The windows face right onto a stretch of garden so you always get greenery in your eyeline. The dining area is open to the kitchen so whoever is cooking can still be part of what is going on which is actually great for family time. There is also a family lounge that is perfect for movie nights or just catching up together and it is easy to see how every member of the family could carve out their bit of quiet whenever they need a break.
There are five bedrooms here and each one has enough space to really feel like a retreat not just a spot to sleep. One guest bedroom is downstairs which is useful if you have someone who does not like stairs or if guests are staying over. The other four bedrooms are upstairs including a master suite that is probably the pick of the bunch. There is a huge walk in closet which feels as big as some apartments and the master balcony overlooks the area so you can sit out early with a coffee or watch the city glow at night. Another bedroom has its own balcony which is a nice touch and you will notice there is even a second family lounge upstairs for the days when everyone wants their own space. Light and privacy seem balanced well in each bedroom which is sometimes hard to find.
One thing I always check is the kitchen and here it actually feels usable for a real cook. Loads of prep space plenty of storage and with the way it opens out into the dining space you do not feel cut off. There is also a maids room tucked off to the side if you have help or just want a bit of extra flexibility. It is very practical honestly. Nothing is far away in this layout so you are never left running up and down for basics.
If you like outdoor living that roof terrace will probably catch your attention. I spent a little time up there and you get breezes and views of the Dubai Hills Golf Course which is a bit special if you are into golf. Shade or sun there is space for both and it is the sort of spot that would work for weekend BBQs or just relaxing above everything for a while.
Living at Palm Hills means you are close to things that make life easy like parks with picnic spots and dog parks if you have a pet. There are tennis courts basketball and even a fitness path for running or just a walk after work. Dubai Hills Mall is a ten minute drive and the coffee shop is always somewhere near so you are never short of options. I have to say it is easy to forget you are still smack in the city at times.
If you want a five bedroom villa in Dubai Hills Estate that is really about comfort and feeling at home this one is worth a closer look. Best thing is to come feel the place for yourself.
