Sur La Mer, La Mer, Jumeirah
Some homes just have a certain vibe from the first step inside. That is honestly how I felt when I walked into this five bedroom townhouse in Sur La Mer, tucked right into the heart of La Mer in Jumeirah. It feels both easy and a little special. You get those calm moments where you can almost hear the sea, and sometimes you forget the city is right there.
This place is big. The built up area gives you over six thousand eight hundred square feet so you never feel crowded. The plot itself is almost the same. The exterior catches your eye first, with Mediterranean reds and yellows on the walls, lots of textured brick, and those classic rooftops. It is one of those rare Dubai neighborhoods where you might see someone walking by with a coffee or even hear the kids laughing as they scooter down toward the beach. I actually stood outside for a minute and just listened. The landscaping feels thoughtful, not overworked. Little palms and pops of color from the flowers everywhere.
Inside, you move through a ground floor that feels wide open and super liveable. There is a huge living room that just makes you want to flop down after work. There is a proper dining spot that fits a real table. It is easy to see friends gathered around or a birthday party with the grandparents. That kitchen got me thinking about real cooking too, honestly. Half open, so you get to be part of the conversation but there is space to get focused on the food. There is a soft breeze off the patio on some days and when you open those doors, you are led right onto a deck that feels like an outdoor living room. Covered just enough for shade if you are the kind of person who likes to read outside or just take your morning coffee out where you can hear birds.
People always ask about practical things so yes, there is a proper ensuite maid's room on this level. Sometimes you notice these homes forget how families actually live, but not here.
Upstairs, the four bedrooms all feel bright, with that kind of natural light that makes waking up early easier. The secondary master suite is probably where the oldest kid or a visiting parent would end up because it has a walk in wardrobe and its own private balcony. It just feels separate, which is kind of nice as families grow and need space. All the finishes are done well. Not loud. Not too glossy.
Now the top level. This floor is special. The master suite takes almost all your attention when you walk up. Giant space. Lots of windows. Walk in closet that actually fits more than a few hangers. The bathroom has his and hers sinks for people who do not want to share space. There is a big tub, plus a walk in shower that feels more like a boutique hotel than a townhouse. You step onto a balcony that is wide enough for two chairs and a little table, overlooking rooftops and the palms.
What I liked most was that this level includes a family room and a private study too. It made me think about lazy weekend mornings. Or working from home in a spot that does not feel like an afterthought. And then you climb again to get to the rooftop terrace. That is a bit of a show piece. Just imagine evenings here with friends, the sun dropping over La Mer, the sizzle from the BBQ in the background. You have space for both lounging and eating.
The area is one of those places where the beach is a stroll away and the boardwalk always has some life, but you can still find a quiet corner when you want it. Port de La Mer is almost next door, so you get the marina and yacht club, good restaurants, shopping, and honestly, some of the nicest beaches in Dubai. You are always close but never right in the middle of Dubai's chaos. Sometimes you might just grab a gelato and wander for an hour.
There is a lot more I could say, but really, whether or not it feels right is something you just have to see for yourself. If any of this sounds like your kind of place, let me know. I am happy to meet you there for a walk through or just answer your questions. At LuxuryProperty.com, we are here so your next move feels comfortable.
