Villa Fiorenzia, Florence
Some places just have a certain calm the moment you arrive and Villa Fiorenzia in Florence is exactly like that. I have to say the first time I walked up to this eight bedroom villa I felt that gentle buzz of Florence life in the distance and countryside peace right up close. You can catch the green hills of Fiesole one way and all the terracotta rooftops of Florence itself the other. It really feels like you are tucked away but never far from the heart of the city. I kind of just found myself lingering on the terrace for a while watching the skyline. If you like those big Tuscan skies and that mix of city and rural views you will probably get it right away.
Stepping inside Villa Fiorenzia is almost like a reset. The way the light settles in the rooms makes it instantly inviting. It bounces off these white walls and the big old windows so everything looks bright and soft without ever feeling stark. There is a big living room that opens straight out into the garden and honestly most people just drift outdoors without even realizing. I stopped for a bit by the window and caught the scent of lemons from a pot below. Everything about the wooden windows and dark frames feels classic Italian but nothing about the house is too formal or fussy. It feels like people genuinely live here and enjoy it.
The kitchen at Villa Fiorenzia is sort of my favourite part though. It has this proper working feel with top notch appliances along with the kind of countertop where you would roll out fresh pasta or chop up herbs for a real meal. It does not look staged it just feels like somewhere to cook and eat and tell stories around the table. You might notice that the dining room next to it never feels too stiff either. It is sort of a nook to just sit out a rainstorm or plan your day before heading into Florence. Upstairs the whole master suite is set up for downtime but also has its own private terrace. With the view from there I can see how you might never want to leave in the morning.
Villa Fiorenzia comes with a total of eight bedrooms and plenty of flexibility if you have family or guests over. Some rooms are upstairs with the great light and views others are tucked down in a semi basement that actually feels like part of the garden because of the way it is laid out. Even the basement apartment has its own small living space and a full kitchen making it a good option for guests who like a little more independence or even teenagers who need their space. Out in the garden there is a small separate building with its own entrance enough for staff or somebody who just wants quiet for a week or two. I have noticed that even when the house is full everyone can find their own corner to just relax and read or have a nap.
The gardens are very Florence and very classic Tuscany. There is this limestone walkway that loops around and sometimes you will hear the neighbours walking by or see kids coming home on bikes. Olive trees and lemons in old terracotta pots really give the whole place a grounded feel. There is no pool but a spot where you could put one if you ever wanted. Parking is right here within the property so it is always simple to come and go.
What I like about the inside is how everything feels solid. There are real marble showers and custom wooden wardrobes and heavy brass taps with that bit of warmth you only get from years of use. You will spot little details like old shutters that actually keep the cold out on winter nights. The whole place is cosy but not overdone. In the evenings as the sun sets you get a glow across the garden and you can watch Florence slowly light up just below.
Honestly the best thing is you are about ten minutes from Florence city centre. Cafes and galleries markets and all the everyday life you need are never far but when you come back to Villa Fiorenzia there is quiet and space all around you. Fiesole itself is the kind of spot where things never get too hectic so it is easy to see why people look for homes here. The truth is Villa Fiorenzia just feels honest and lived in. You might just want to turn off your phone and let the afternoon drift by.
The only way you will know if this villa feels right for you is to see it for yourself. Reach out if you want to talk any of it through or just walk around and get a feel for Florence living. At LuxuryProperty.com I am always here to help make your next move easier and maybe even a little more fun.
