Some homes make you exhale the second you walk in. This one does that. I remember standing in what will be the living room thinking about how light pours in through those big windows. Every room just seems to ask you to slow down a bit. Here in Cascais you get this calm around you but still know you are right at the heart of it all. Sometimes I think you almost forget how close the train station is because it truly does not feel busy here.
Now this five bedroom villa is still under construction so you need a little imagination but you'll feel the thought in every corner. Honestly I could not help but picture what it might be like to wake up in that master suite. It has this private terrace looking out over the garden and you can imagine your coffee is warmer just because you are sitting up there. The whole suite is big but it does not feel oversized It just feels right and there is space for everything but nothing is wasted. The other bedrooms all feel inviting too and each one somehow finds its own quiet. You will notice that even the guest suite on the ground floor feels private enough for whoever is lucky enough to stay the weekend.
And the villa is built on a plot that feels much bigger once you are walking around outside. Almost eight thousand square feet. Not many villas around Cascais give you this much space. You will notice the outdoor leisure spots. Not just one or two tiny corners. There is a spot for reading under the trees and another if you want to sit with friends on a summer night. Sometimes the breeze brings in the scent from someone grilling down the street or you hear the faint sound of the sea if you wander to the edge of the garden early in the morning.
Underneath you have a basement that is not just an afterthought. There is a big garage enough for three cars if you need it and honestly I think it would fit a few bikes or even that kayak you always say you'll buy. Laundry is tucked out of sight which is always appreciated and there is this big multipurpose space. Could be a gym or a proper games room. Sometimes you walk down there and start picturing movie nights or maybe a drum kit set up in the corner.
If you care about sustainability you really will notice what they are doing here. Photovoltaic panels on the roof. The heating is not just a boiler it is a heat pump system so everything runs quieter and cleaner. The materials just feel solid and eco conscious in that way where you can tell when you touch the walls and the doors. No strange drafts or that hollow sound older houses sometimes have. It is not finished yet so the energy rating will get updated once those new systems are up and running but you can just tell they have built this for a new way of living.
The neighbourhood is actually one of my favourite things about this villa in Cascais. You are about seven hundred meters from the train station. Feels easy. You can be in Lisbon in twenty minutes on the A5 if you drive but honestly I like the train better most days because you can just sit back and not worry about traffic. Around the corner you have a café where locals sit in the shade and there is a square that feels like the centre of the whole community. Kids biking in the evenings. Someone always heading to the beach with a surfboard under their arm. Supermarkets, good restaurants, and schools you would actually want to send your kids to. All easy to reach on foot.
Sometimes you find a villa that really does balance things out just right. Space to breathe but not too far from where you want to be. Modern living but not too flashy. You can imagine family here or friends coming over or maybe just peace and quiet if you want to read a book on a Sunday afternoon.
Really the best way to know is to come see it. If you want to walk around or talk things through we are always here. At LuxuryProperty.com we try to help every move feel as comfortable as it can be. Reach out any time.
