When I first walked into this two bedroom apartment at Shoreline Residences right on the Palm Jumeirah, the thing that struck me was how the light comes in everywhere. Sun just pours through. I found myself leaning on the kitchen counter for a bit, just watching the sea out the window, feeling the apartment slow me down. Not every home does that. Out here, you get those big blue ocean views from almost every corner of the apartment, then an almost postcard perfect shot of the Burj Al Arab straight from the balcony. Sometimes you forget exactly where you are, until you peek out and spot someone jogging barefoot along the private beach.

You have got cafes around the corner if you do not feel like cooking, and on weekends you see kids on scooters or people heading down with their paddle boards. The private beach really is private. You feel it when you step onto the sand and there is space to breathe.

People always ask about the gym and wellness spaces. Here, you have access to a gym, spa, and sauna, so no trouble keeping routines if that is important for you. Sometimes I see folks drifting in after work for a swim or a bit of steam. Whatever your day looks like, you end up back on the balcony watching the view. The building is well maintained. Elevators run smooth. The lobby actually feels kind of homey, which is rare in apartment blocks. There is enough parking for you and guests too.

This apartment will be vacant on transfer, so you can move in and settle right away. A lot of people get hung up on floor plans or numbers, but if you walk in and wait a minute, you start picturing your own things here. The best bit about this place is really the feeling you get when you stop and listen for a second. Some homes really do slow you down in a good way.
