There is something about the way the light hits the hardwood floors in the bedrooms and the little touches you notice each time you look around. You kind of get that feeling of modern city life but without the usual rush all around you.

Honestly, I found myself just standing by the tall windows one morning, watching the city wake up below. It is London but it somehow feels a bit like its own world up here. The building itself is special, a true statement for the area. Interiors are done completely by Versace Home and you can tell the difference. You will spot little details everywhere, from the elegant tilework that runs through the apartment to that solid stone worktop in the kitchen. It actually feels like a kitchen you would want to cook a proper meal in, which is not always true in London flats. Open it up with guests or just sit down for a quiet dinner, either way it feels inviting.

The living room sort of becomes its own retreat, wide enough that you do not feel squeezed in, with a formal dining spot next to it that feels just right for either a busy weekday or a long evening with friends. There is a residents lounge that almost feels too nice for just sitting around but once you settle in, you can imagine coming down with a good book or just coffee before heading out. And the best thing is, most of those daily things are just easy here. Coffee places, little shops and even a riverside walk are around the corner. You are never far from a bus or the Underground and sometimes you see neighbors heading out for work or a run along the river. It just works.

Concierge and housekeeping are available if you want them, but it honestly never feels forced or stuffy. There is valet parking, and they can even arrange dining at home if you are not in the mood to go out. Sometimes I think this apartment is perfect for just one or two people, but it could just as easily be a proper city home for a small family. It feels versatile, which is not easy to find in London central spots.
