The light sort of creeps in around the edges in the morning. I actually stood by the window for a bit just watching the way it changed across the wooden floors. Dubai Hills itself gives you that feeling that it is always green and taken care of. It feels like it is set back from the rest of Dubai but you are honestly not far from Downtown or the Marina at all. Al Khail Road is right next door. You might hear a soft hum far off sometimes if you sit out on the deck at night but really, mostly you catch the sounds of families around you and sometimes kids scooting down the walkway.

Inside the townhouse the layout just works if you ask me. It is not one of those homes where you have to walk through the laundry to get anywhere. You walk in and right away you have that open living and dining area that actually feels like somewhere you would want to linger. On some mornings you might hear a tennis ball bouncing somewhere nearby or catch the scent of fresh bread from someone's kitchen.

Dubai Hills Estate is one of those places where schools are close by so mornings are a bit less hectic. The Dubai Hills Mall is just down the road so you are sorted for groceries, a bit of shopping, or grabbing a bite if you do not feel like cooking. There are restaurants tucked in as well and even a few places where friends just meet for coffee and chat.

Mostly what you get in this place is an easy kind of life with less running around. It fits families who want the community part but do not want to give up that sense of having somewhere private to come home to.
