Every now and then you walk into a home and for some reason you just want to slow down a bit. That is honestly how it felt when I first stepped into this five bedroom villa in The Mansions at Jumeirah Islands. You come through the front door and there is this quiet almost calm in the air and maybe it is the way the lake light spills into the rooms or maybe just the sense of space. Some houses feel formal or a little cold. Not this one. Straight away you can imagine mornings with coffee in the lounge while kids are still half asleep or weekends where friends actually stop by and stay longer than they planned.

Sometimes you even spot kids from the neighborhood cycling nearby or just messing about near the lake. In a place like Jumeirah Islands, it is easy to forget you are so close to Dubai Marina or the city. It feels far away in a good way.

The coffee places in the community center are a walk or quick drive away and sometimes you see neighbors stopping for a chat outside the gate.
